If you actually listen to his songs many are in fact very well done social commentary. He addressed things like child abuse and the culture of excess, some of his later songs about coming out of detox (he is a recovering alcholoic) are very tender expressions of concern of how his wife will feel about him since he had never before been sober in their relationship.

Well Alice Cooper sold the Sports Bar and Grill in Denver a few years ago and was a regular night time DJ on the radio. I've seen him a couple of times, first time was in '73. He was the first to do "shock" rock and I think the first to wear heavy make up - at least the first I saw.

Studies done in several parts of the world have found that people who were spanked as children are more likely to use it in erotic play. There is a world of difference between play rape and real rape - its like the difference between sports and war.
Rape fantasies are common for both men and women, as both agressors and victims. If both people enjoy the fantasy it can be fun. A lot of people enjoy being "forced" to do something - maybe because it removes responsibility?
Hard BDSM (spanking / whipping, etc) is also common. Again as long as both enjoy and no real damage is done, why not. Interestingly there are more people who want to "bottom" (be beaten) than "top".
Either game needs to have a safe-word. I've heard too many stories of mis-understandings leading to real problems.Comment

I find the rape fantasy thing very disturbing and wrong. Just makes me sick people actually think there's pleasure in that because there is'nt any.Fighting to be able to breathe is'nt a form of pleasure.
I'll get back to this thread when I have something more positive to say but that's my two cents on that subject.Comment

But, seriously now, certain people click on a thread that's called 'kinkiness' but as soon as they read something they dislike they call it sick. What were you expecting to find? Light spanking with thornless roses and outdoors sex? If you can't take role playing and situations that are 'too complicated' for you, then read a cooking thread instead of calling people sick. You have the guts to check this thread but not the stomach to digest its contents. To me that's hypocritical.
Just my thoughts.Comment

For me, the idea of a "rape fantasy" isn't sick. Though, i don't think I've done a full blow rape role-play. When I do the tying up, or holding down, I've never had to fight for air. It doesn't get to the point we need a "safe" word.
I do like the struggling though. I think what maes it fun is that I like to feel how strong he is, holding me down, I can't get away. But, it usually feels pretty good so I can't hold on to the"get away" thing and end up pulling him in me anyways.
The whole point is, I know he won't hurt me. I know it won't get too far. I know that if I tell him to stop he will.
It's nothing like a real rape, in fact the idea of "rape" in the true sense of the word it aweful, and everyone here knows that.
The idea of my man holding me down when I ask him to vs a stranger (or not so stranger) trying to take me are two very different things.
If it were real, I would never enjoy it. but with my partner, I am comfortable. Again, I know he won't hurt me, or take it one stitch further than I want.Comment

She didn't call anyone sick. She only said it makes HER sick to think... Do you know her background/life experiences and why she would feel this way? I doubt it and it doesn't matter WHY anyway.
She has every right to feel the way she does and the same to post it. At least she wasn't hurling insults towards others. From this post it's clear you did not extend to her the same courtesy.Comment

Muffin: just a suggestion - if you do rough play it really is a good idea to have a safe-word, even if you don't think you need it. I've known several cases where in the heat of the moment people have gotten carried away and didn't realize their partner wasn't enjoying it anymore.
Isabellacat: Its fine for you to not like that sort of play. There are other fetishes that I find really disturbing. I feel though that anything between consenting adults that meet the Safe Sane Consensual requirement is OK - as long as I don't need to do it myself.Comment
