For some, it takes the development of the "skill", if you may call it that. I didn't know I could, never did I, but yeah, it sure helps that I was a voice student, now a teacher, and I teach "how to open one's throat" for singing. It comes in handy for the other thing, hah! Including breathing management.
It also helps if you're open to trying it and just ease up bits at a time, nothing to rush about. But if you do not really like it, no biggie. No one has to do something she doesn't want to do.Comment

I have VCD, vocal chord disorder, and my throat is constructed just a lil but different than most. I can choke very easily. I've never attempted to deep throat and ya know what, no one's ever complained. If that does it for you go for it but I don't think its needful. Given the number of women who won't do a bj period most men are happy to get decent oral of any kind.
