X - despite what people want to think or rationalize nowadays, we all have a body type when we are born. It's called fit.

People can dance around the truth all they want, but the only way to solve a problem is to recognize it in the first place.

If one is sensitive about their own weight that should tell them something.

The OP asked for advice (outside of lypo I might add) and I gave it. Chill.

I'm not gonna disagree with OTYA....she mentions fat thighs and lypo which paint a picture for the reader of someone who is insecure with their weight. Best suggestion for weight issues = exercise.

Back to Aubreys actual question..... once you become comfortable with your body being on top is one of the most pleasurable for many women. Some people are just submissive.....others use submissive as a cover up for insecurity. There are no rules for how exactly you position yourself while on top, find a way that feels more comfortable.

I would also suggest doggie.......that way neither of you are on top.

I'm on the other side of this. Being on top is OK but just doesn't get me going like some other positions. With practice I'm sure you can get more comfortable with it but you may be like me and just doesn't do it for you.

You're missing the point... Women now have a warped sense of what thin and fat are. She may not be what you call fat but think that because of what she sees in the press. So many women think that they are fat because of what the media portrays as thin. They go to drastic measures to be what they see and that's wrong. So that was the point... I'm not saying that the advice you gave was wrong. I was just saying... Look at it from another standpoint. And honestly... If my boyfriends hips were so thin that being on top hurt cause they poked me, I'd say gain some weight skinny guy.

You're not going to get any sympathy from me on this media after women stuff. Men go through the same thing. Ever seen a portly Davidoff model? Or a chippendale with a gut?

Futhermore...with the obesity epidemic we're currently experiencing in the U.S. the warped sense has become people who are overweight...who think they are healthy.

She said she's thinking about lyposuction. A procedure pushed upon men and women by the exact media forces you are complaining about. But when I recommend some good old fashioned diet and exersice its construed as slander or an insult? Please.

She asked the question - our advice is more logical, and more likely to work if we suggest a solution to HER, than to her boyfriend. She has control of what she does. She doesn't have control over what he does.

**Walks in to thread eating popcorn**

Hmmm... anal. He'll love it because it's "forbidden" (rolls eyes), and you'll love it because there are more never endings back there than in the vagina. That's your answer.

Now... **eats popcorn** If you're not satisfied with your thighs, do something about it. If you get liposuction, you'll have skinny thighs. Only thing is the weight will go to every other part of your body. Your chest, arms, shoulder, back, and stomach will all get bigger as a result.

Take a spinning class (cardio bike). Go power walking. Tell him to start putting on some healthy weight (ie muscle mass). His hips will become more rounded and you won't feel like you're riding Edward Scissor Hips.

Lay down on top of him on your back. That's right. You're back on his chest.

BE CREATIVE!! I don't sleep with women who aren't willing to explore their own bodies and sexuality. I'm sure you guys have great sex, and that this issue of Pointy Hips vs Big Thighs is really an issue for you, but there are ways to get around this.

                **eats more popcorn**

                Now... Questions? Comments? Concerns?

**continues eating popcorn and walks off to the side**

We're not talking about guts here. We're also not talking about men. We're on a women's health site and a woman wrote this thread. We're talking about a woman who feels insecure in her thigh size and sexual positions that would help the pain of having sex with her boyfriend. I'm not saying that this doesn't go both ways, it certainly does. Media projects how all of us are supposed to look. It's not about sympathy but understanding.

Futhermore...with the obesity epidemic we're currently experiencing in the U.S. the warped sense has become people who are overweight...who think they are healthy.
I agree wholeheartedly with the fact that obesity is becoming a major epidemic. It's not just that people think it's okay to eat a ton of junk food and not exercise. This is starting in schools. Pepsi made a deal with a school that if they could put their pop machines in the school that they would donate a portion of their earnings to the school. Also, schools are now saying that PE isn't required. And parents... They don't make their kids go outside and play. They let them sit and watch tv or play video games or surf the internet. It starts with parents. They need to instill good eating habits and regular exercise into their child.

I think we're completely off topic though.

She said she's thinking about lyposuction. A procedure pushed upon men and women by the exact media forces you are complaining about. But when I recommend some good old fashioned diet and exersice its construed as slander or an insult? Please.
I don't disagree that this could possibly be what she needs. I think without a photo that we are just assuming because of her self image that she needs to lose weight. Maybe she doesn't. It depends on who and what she is comparing herself to.

She asked the question - our advice is more logical, and more likely to work if we suggest a solution to HER, than to her boyfriend. She has control of what she does. She doesn't have control over what he does.
All I was saying is that it may not just be her.

                      Hi there.

I'm guessing that your guy enjoys sex just as much as the next man.

Is he a soft spoken guy to begin with? Sometimes people aren't very vocal about their sexuality. It isn't something you should be overly concerned with.

Is he getting off? Does it take long? That should tell you a lot.

                      *Now*

This issue really sounds like the concern is rooted in your own self confidence....which sounds like its been cut short by your weight.

Read up on some diet and exercise tips in the Fitness and Nutrition section of this website. Make a plan, and stick to it.

Attacking the root of the problem is the best way to solve it. It just depends on how badly you want to overcome this.

                      Good luck.
