Also, is sex likely to hurt even though im that old ?

Hun, it's different for everyone.. Some, it doesn't hurt at all. All I can suggest when that time comes, is to relax and ensure your with someone you trust and really like, then it will be beautiful.
As for 23 and a Virgin.. It was your choice I assume and it's your right... The only men that wouldn't like that, are the ones who only want to use you to get your virginity and then walk out on you...

Don't worry about being a virgin at 23; concern yourself with being the person you want to be, and the right guy will find you. You may have to help him find you, but he's not going to be worried about your being a virgin, and should be very flattered that you waited for him.
Hint: If you find a guy who DOESN'T feel this way, be very careful.Comment

Same 4 me
Hi,
I lost my virginity at 23 (on my wedding night). I was with a very special person whom I will never regret. Sex takes away a piece of your inner self and try have it with a special person.
It was my chioce to wait that long because I felt it was not necessary to lose it to anyone. Also I did not let peer pressure get to me. Yes I kissed and flirted with my BF but I made it clear that I was not ready nor giving into sex before marriage (Am a Christian).Comment

I agree with everyone; I'm 23 and a virgin. So is my boyfriend. We've been dating 3 years and have finally decided we are ready to start having sex. There should be no rush to losing your virginity and it is something you want to decide to do when you are level headed (ie clothes on). Find a guy who respects you, not one who wants to get in your pants. Also, being a virgin at that age makes dating a lot easier because you weed out the bad ones pretty quickly!Comment
