Don't feel bad about being 23 and a virgin. Just be you and be happy. It's all good.

There's no shame in it. I know a guy who's in his mid-40s and is still a virgin.

The "guy" population think it's cool that you're a virgin.
The "dudes" want to take advantage of you.
And then men will take care of you if you decide to give it up to one of them.

If you haven't already, buy a dildo, not a vibrator, and a thing of Astro Glide lubricant. Find out if it'll hurt. Go slow, though, just in case.

Try it in different positions. Use your imagination. See what you like, and what you don't. And if you're afraid of doing this, get a girl friend to help you. I'm not saying this to feed any type of fantasy of mine. Women help each other out a lot more sexually than you'd imagine.

I miss being a virgin actually lol.....you're alright....before you know it you're gonna be knee deep in sex and then you'd think back to how you feel right now and wish you were'nt tripping so much about it. Sex is overrated in a way lol but doing it with someone you actually love is special.

And you're only 23.........I think it's either because you don't really put yourself out there or you're just very picky to who you want to sleep with. That's actually very smart if you ask me. Having sex too young has some kind of complications. Not everybody has sex very early. In Western society it's typical for people to brag about it and look down on those who don't do it as young as they have. Sex is good at any age if you're healthy enough to do it.If you really really want to have sex that bad, the odds are not against you with a chance of getting it even as soon as tonight. I find sex to be some kind of telepathy....you'll know who's the right one for sex the moment you're with him.It always starts with a kiss. Just be patient, relax and don't seek either, it will come to you.

Hey don't feel bad! I don't think guys will be turned off about this at all! I didn't lose my virginity until I was 22 (I'm barely 23 now). The guy I gave my virginity to has been my boyfriend for a year now. Just make sure you don't rush it when you're not ready! Give it a person who melts your heart and treats you right! :-)

Just don't auction off your virginity on eBay. A couple of girls have done this, and honestly? It's a major turn off. Some of these girls have had bids as in the million dollar category. Complete waste of time and money.

I waited until I was 19 and it was with someone I was truly inlove with and stayed with for about 2-3 years. I think everyone should wait until its someone they truly care about as some of the other people said. You will remember the person you lost it to for the rest of your life and it should be someone you dont GAG when thinking about lol! jk. You are giving that person a gift, make sure they deserve it. As to it hurting or not because youre older, it will feel the same as it would if you had lost it years ago Im sure.

                  I'm 23 (soon), a virgin too! I'm proud!
IF it's what you want, you go girl! But if you want to have sex, than that's ok too so long as you are informed and responsible about it. Everyone has their reasons as to why they wait, it could also be for health reasons and responsibility reasons (since sex can = baby or life long illness).
I chose to wait for those reasons and to make my wedding night special. I don't see much point in it if there isn't anything special about the night.
                  Kudos!

Is virginity itself a gift? Why is it a gift? If somebody is "promiscuous" does that mean they have less to give? Why?

I can understand why being somebodies "first" would feel special but outside of that I don't understand the idea that "virginity" is special in and of itself. I've always wanted to know that. Please explain it.

I've never understood this thinking either. One's initiation into sex should be special but only because it opens the door to what should be a lifetime of pleasure.
