I think it's great your husband found it hilarious...
ever seen those commercials where the guy is taking some kind of 'male enhancement' and word has gotten out? All the ladies are looking at that couple with undisguised envy...
That's YOU! As they say in the movie "Madagascar"...'Smile and wave, boys, smile and wave'....

omg i totally understand your pain.. that would be horribly embarrassing... on the bright side it could have been much worse.. the fact that your husband and the other dude think its no big deal should some some consolation for you. I completely understand however that that is a very embarrassing thing to happen and it would be nicer if he was a lot more sensitive.. just because he doesnt think its a big deal doesnt mean your going to feel the same way... trust me though time heals wounds.. or at least makes it better. after a while the embarrassment will blow over and you'll start to feel better about the situation... as for the guys jealous wife i really dont think you need to worry.. it was clearly an accident and im sure she can realize that... honestly if you stay in good humor about the whole thing you will heal from it much faster.. and if you see your husbands friend just act like nothing happened.. thats the best way to get over it... if you just pretend nothing happened and go on with your life you'll soon not worry about (i was going to say forget but obviously thats not going to happen) anymore.. and the more you see the guy without talking about it the easier it will be... and seriously one day you prolly will laugh about it..

Well of course I knew it....my hubby and his golfing buddy had to come by on the way to play 9 holes before it gets dark and his buddy just had to make some comment in front of my hubby. I didn't hear everything he said but it was something like they'd go in separate vehicles and he could come back early ahead of my husband if I was going to be wearing what I said over the phone. He said that in front of my husband so I knew he was in on the joke and they both laughed. He said 'snooty' would meet him over here. I said I'd love to meet 'snooty' so I think I'll call her just for some girl talk....he didn't think that was very funny!
They left and when they got back, I told him, well I called 'snooty' and talked to her for about 20 minutes and finally told her 'listen I hate to call you what everyone else calls you, what is your real name'. I knew her real name but he didn't know that I knew it and it made for a better story. He said, 'wait, you didn't, you didn't call my wife, you didn't tell her what everyone calls her?' He was beside him self.....I told him, calm down, I didn't call her. I just wanted to see what you would say. I must have been pretty convincing. I could tell by the look on my husbands face that even he believed I had made the call. Funny, the look on their faces when they found out I didn't call her to tell her everyone else calls her 'snooty'.........really made my day and made up for me feeling bad about my hubby's 'bozo' of a friend, a friend that would put up with everyone calling his new wife 'snooty', how degrading can you be. I can say gotcha now.Last edited by barbiedoll; 11-23-2009, 06:15 PM.Comment
