Omg, my boyfriend stares at me when we have sex, I always think of the eye contact thing, cause when I glance at him his eyes are always so intense and I guess in some ways it makes me nervous so I close my eyes. Or when he glances down(from him being on top) I get really shy as - while I've gotten a lot better - I'm quite self conscious. I think it truly depends on the person. Some people go further into bliss if their eyes are closed, but that doesn't mean looking at you would ruin it for them either. (Well I hope not, anyway)

In my experience, during sex my bf and I will maintain eye contact as much as we can given it's a position that's possible in. It builds our passion and it lets us lean in to kiss too. But during oral sex, or hand jobs or something, I've noticed he likes to close his eyes. I think the reasoning for this is when we're having sex, he wants to be there with me every step of the way and make sure what he's doing is pleasing, and vice versa. When he is receiving a sexual favor however, he likes to sit back and enjoy it in his own world. I wouldn't be surprised if he was thinking about us having sex or something. I don't know, but personally it makes me happy to see him with his eyes closed, focusing only on what he's feeling. I think closing one's eyes during oral is a good thing, but if you're having sex and there is no eye contact then it's not as intense.

Maybe he can't concentrate as much with his eyes open. Might be too distracting to perform his best! My boyfriend and I lock eyes when possible, but I am 5'6" and he is 6'5". So we arent quite even with eyes all the time, lol.
