I think it's different. Emotionally anyway, it just feels better with someone you love. With other guys, it just feels like I'm trying to pretend that we're in love, even though I full well know we're not. That, or if I was in it just to flat out DO someone, then I guess that's not even pretending to be in love. I much prefer it with someone that I'm in a "real" relationship with.Comment

This really an interesting question you put out here, and you've already gotten quite a range of responses.
My first reaction was to say yes, there's a big difference, and it's much more fun having sex with someone you love. There can be that deep connection that makes the sex seem so much better.
But then I think back, and the woman I have loved the most in my life (though we were only together 2 years, and that almost 30 years ago, the day hardly goes by I don't think of her, and she cavorts through my dreams on a regular basis), was probably the least satisfying in bed. It was difficult to please her, our lovemaking was rarely satisfying for both of us, and often not so for either.
But we kissed, ah, we kissed!
I loved her deeply, and I'd still give anything to be with her.
I'm married now, and my wife doesn't much like to kiss at all...
So... I guess I can't answer your question at all, except to say "Maybe," and "Sometimes."Comment
