i think i have an addiction

I think I'm addicted to sex. I'm turning 17 soon and I have such a high sex drive while my bf doesn't. Is this normal? I've had sex before and I have been safe..but haven't had any sex lately and I really want it so bad. I know that I'm still young and shouldn't even be having sex but I'm using protection and I know about the dangers of stds. My bf lost his virginity to me so it's fine. But please help idk what to do about this problem cause I feel like I want sex way more than my bf does and it's like it doesn't matter to him. I'm sure my relationship is not about lust because I feel perfectly fine when we don't have sex and he does too but I have an urge for it at times.

Hehe, my sex drive is way higher then my boyfriends. I don't think its a problem.

If you say that you feel fine even when you are not having sex then you don't have an addiction. You will want it, sure. But don't we all want something ones in a while and if you enjoy sex then its normal to want it.
What I am trying to say is that you shouldn't worry about it.

Its totally normal. I'm the same way. Sometimes I'll have urges where I feel like I have to have it at that moment and my fiance will totally not be interested at that particular time. Other times, we are fine without doing anything. Lol

      I wouldn't worry about it.

When you say your sex drive is way higher than his- what are we talking about? Assuming your BF is close to your age, he physically should be raring to go a few times a day- but is likely to have some serious down time in between where he is not interested.

A 16-18 year old boy not interested in sex more than a couple times a week has some other issues, physical, psychological or something else.

^ um thats not necessarily true.
some people have lower sex drives than others
          regardless of gender.
its unfair to generalize like that.

an addiction to sex is like an addiction to anything else
you *need* it and do it compulsively and to the detriment of your health.

it doesnt sound like you're addicted
just that you have a higher sex drive than your boyfriend
which isnt anything to worry about!

It might seem like an addiction when you compare yourself to your lower drive partner. I struggled with that thought for a long time, but eventually realized that just because I have a higher sex drive doesn't make me an addict. I took sex addict quizzes just to see, but I never came close to scoring high enough to be an addict.

Maybe you should do the same, just to ease your mind. Google "sex addict" and look for quizzes. Take several different quizzes to see the different results, then average.

Don't worry about it. You just like sex. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Its hard for us guys after sex. We like get really tired and feel drained. Some processes in us does that. I think its an evolutionary thing, so the cavegril can get away after the caveboy is done with her.
I know it sounds bad, but when we are full we want it really really bad, when empty it feels like I am not going to need or want sex again ever, until after a bit of recover that is XD.

How often do you want it ? Some guys are fine with 2-4 times a week, others want it 2 - 4 times every day.
