Do you think Sex is Immature?

This question has been in my mind for awhile now. I'm just curious to see what ya'll think.

What is your opinion of an adult who is in a relationship that wants sex all the time, and when they aren't having it they're thinking about it etc... Almost like their day revolves around it.

Do you feel these people are perfectly normal adults, or do you feel that they are too focused on pleasure when they should be focused on their taxes? (for example)

I think if you're focused on taxes instead of sex, your taxes are too high!
As for having you day revolve around sex - well, I've heard of that happening...

Well, I'm a perfectly normal adult.
I think about sex quite a bit and when I'm having sex I'm totally focused on pleasure. If a certain person were more cooperative my day Would revolve around sex.

As long as other things can get done why not think about sex? Especially if your thinking about the new surprise you have for your lover or something fun like that. I actually think it is more mature to have a healthy sex life with someone you care about. It can create a bond and be another way of showing love. It isn't always about pleasure...Although that is definitely great too!

I agree with heryseshta, that having a healthy sex life is more mature than not having one!

But if someone is obsessed with sex to the point where they can't do anything else (don't hang out with friends or have any hobbies for example)... then that has nothing to do with maturity, that's more of a mental health problem.

They want sex all the time - but are they getting it all the time? Someone who doesn't get enough to eat and is hungry will think about food all the time.

I don't think it's wrong to think of and want sex all the time, as long as you don't skip work, lose sleep, don't eat, don't talk to people, neglect life, don't pay your bills, etc. because of it.

I'd be more worried about people who don't think about sex at all.

Totally agree with Stressed (hope she's not really that stressed) I think about sex several times a day. My g'f thinks i think about it too much. What's obvious about these forums is that lots of people have different sex drives/expectations. Mine is higher than my g/f's and that cause problems at times.

I think that the immature ones regarding sex are those that say having sexual needs and desires is immature.

To those that think that: it's time to grow up.

I think immature people can have sex.

I think sex can be had PRE-maturely.

But, no I do not believe that sex is immature. It is normal to have a sex drive, it is normal to think about sex, it is normal to have sex. And anyone that tells you different is either trying to downplay their lack of a sex drive, or attempting to control yours... neither of which are very normal, let alone acceptable.
