Absolutely not!! Sex is a part of marriage, and a part which plays a bigger part than people would like to think. Just look at all the problems the lack of it causes.

My personal opinion (probably not a popular one) is that if one partner us not interested in the sexual part of the relationship, and will do nothing to remedy this situation, then the other party cannot be blamed for looking elsewhere (preferably after discussing it with the reluctant partner). As with anything to do with a relationship, communication is key.

Sadly, I think the people who think they are not getting enough good sex in their relationships will agree, the ones who are getting enough will disagree.

In general discussing this with a reluctant partner is likely to fail. Usually the "reluctant" partner doesn't think sex is that important and doesn't see why you would need to go outside of the relationship.

My favorite sex is the playful, giggling type. It helps me to relax if I can joke around a bit and make her laugh but know she's still turned on. I struggle with passion though. I can't just grab her, through her against the wall and suddenly we're getting it on. So like all the others said, it depends on the couple.

It sounds like your wife is from a more conservative background where sex is about love, romance, and procreation. It's completely normal for people to enjoy that and also enjoy the nastier stuff like other posters said. I also agree with what an earlier poster said that you should let her know that you love having sex with her the way she wants it...that you're thrilled to have that intimacy with her. If she's confident in that, then you may be able to slowly move things in a different direction. If she always wants missionary, then she if she'd like to change it up some time. She doesn't have to get her legs into a weird position for most things. Or maybe try a different place? Set up a sleeping bag and cuddle up inside it. It'll be romantic but still different than the bedroom. From there, maybe the couch? I'd just suggest moving things gradually instead of springing the Kama Sutra on her. Do things that can be romantic but still add variety, and go from there.
