I would wait. I do think 14 is too young...NOT because I am saying that arbitrarily but I waited until almost 18 and I *still* don't think I was 100% ready... 14 is hard because it's harder to get to a clinic to checked out, get birth control, etc. Also, if you dont' have the kind of relationship with your mom/dad where they will take you get to get checked out, etc, it can be hard. If you still are not convinced, maybe you could do what another poster advised and wait till 6 months. If you're still as crazy about this boy and can get some protection to make sure you're safe, then maybe give it some serious thought... If you're *not* with the same boy in 6 months, you'll be really glad you waited. If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it.

Love...
You know, we fall in love in 1 week
Boys, well they need to respect, to fall in love...
They can and will say anything remember that, so if you are wanting to do it for LOVE, make sure he is in love with you by making him wait...
I guess, because oral isn't an issue, then you have to be careful that he respects you does that make sense?
Hormones will want to make you jump and then feel you belong, he's yours, your first, but what if he says thanks.. seeya... ?
A few weeks like 12 isn't going to hurt to see just how much he loves you.
And, unfortunately as everyone has stated, you do have to be careful, very careful of the age factor as he can get into alot of trouble from the law, if your parents find out.
That's not worth the risk either if you LOVE him...
I know there he would say but only we can tell. Not the case, you could get caught, he may tell someone you may tell your best friend, and really if he's a sensible person he would agree and say, yeah not worth the risk because I LOVE you..

The decision to have sex is an individual one. The advice on possible legal problems is certainly a consideration but if you are already engaging in oral sex then it is kind of "closing the barn door after the horse got out". But I also think that considerations like access to birth control, avoidance of sexually transmitted deseases., and the expected duration of your relationship are serious considerations. Since you ASKED our opinions....MY OPINION is YES...sorry but YES.. you are too young for this.
That doesn't mean that you do not have real affection/love for each other. It does mean that you are "new" to this type of adult relationship and there is so much that can go wrong. AND - what's the "hurry"? You may be planning a life together...why not give yourself and him six months before making the decision?Comment

i lost my virginity at 14 after being with the guy for exactly 3 months. well 10 months into the relationship i ended up pregnant. I was lucky in the long run though, its been almost three years and were still together. and in another year or two were wanting to get married.
the age is a concern though. my bf was 18 when we first had sex and my mom went pyscho and pressed charges. he almost spent 6 months in jail and would of missed the birth of our son. however mom realized she was stupid and dropped the charges some.
whatever u choose to do though is ur choice. sex is great but with something that great comes alot of responsibility. if u do decide to go for it wear a condom or get birth control, cuz having a kid at an early age is tough and 8 times out of ten the guy doesnt stick around. Think long and hard about it, it could be fine but it could also be one of the biggest mistakes in ur life. especially if u catch something.Comment

whats the rush? If your ready to have sex you'll be ready for the rest of your life. Whats another couple of months? I'm not saying you should wait til marriage but...if people can wait until marriage then you should be able to wait a while longer. What are you going to do if he dumps you the next day? I wouldn't put it past a 14 year old boy! You'll feel like a used piece of as well as having a bad reputation.Comment

I personally think 14 is way too young. I myslef had sex when i was 15 and i regret doin it so early. make sure you think this through fully. My sister had sex when she was 14 with a guy she thought she loved. the condom broke and she freaked out and had to take the day after pill. Soon her whole school new! Just be careful waiting to me is so much more worth it. I am now 18 and with my bf of 2 years/ i made him wait 6 months b4 i slept with him and i think it was the most important choice i had made then. When a guy waits for you, you no he is true and is whilling to wait for you and appreciate you for yourself and not ur vagina! Hope this helps

i had sex when i was 14 but we were together for 7 months, i would wait. because if you do love each other and plan on being with eachother for ever then what are you guys going to do after this? i mean you will have nothing else to look forward to because you have already done the most you can do. me and that guy broke up and its been terrible with my new relationships because its awkard. please wait.Comment

Personally I think you're too young because of the possible emotional results, but ultimately you will make your decision. My only advice is :
1. Be Safe !!
2. Don't confuse sex with love and remember that just because he has had sex with you DOES NOT automatically mean he loves you. Too many women (in my opinion), young and not so young, believe that men put the same emotional connection into sex as we do.
As the saying goes, if he loves you he will wait till you're ready and NEVER do anything you don't truly want to.Comment

I personally think 14 is young. I had several boyfriends in high school who wanted to do it, but I turned them down because I really felt that I needed to refine what I wanted. I never had sex until I was 19 in college, and I'm glad about that.
The legal issues everyone is pointing out are very important. Even if you both willingly engage in sexual intercourse, it can still be considered rape in some countries. Be very careful and read about it first, as well as protection, birth control, STDs, etc.
Most importantly, I think you should wait until you know him very well. I ended up with a guy once in a VERY rushed relationship that I felt very uncertain about from the moment it started, and we had sex within a week, and I regretted it terribly. I think that relationships, especially at a young age, get WAY more serious and intense once they get sexual. I think you'll want to make sure that you spend a few more months getting to know him, so that you're certain he isn't the type to be spiteful and vengeful after you break up. Not to mention, sex is much more passionate when you really love and understand the person your with.
Also, I had a friend in high school who first had sex at 14, and somehow everybody found out, and they REALLY gossiped about her and made up terrible stories about her sex life. I think it's important at that age, if you do have sex, to keep it very private, because unfortunately, highschoolers aren't always so mature.Comment

Well, lets see. Im now sorta in your position. Im a freshman. My boyfriend is too 15 (only older than me by 8 months) and we are both WAY too mature for our age. We've been dating for three months and yeah, Im definatly ready to have sex with him, and since hes had it before, hes ready for me. When he had it he was 12 and he'll admit to not being ready. Hes slept with two other girls (both virgins) and hasnt had sex in 2 years. I really do believe we're ready, but with poor access to nessesary protection, we're going to wait. Im just wondering how that turned out? It would be great to know.Comment
