I'm not discounting the severity of the deceit involved however... an 18 year old guy telling his parents about his sexual conquests is not all that common to begin with is it? So its not as if he is 'lying' to them.. more like not disclosing who he had sex with 1 time.

I seriously doubt after a one nighter at a party he sits down for breakfast with the folks and talks about the bj he got from a drunk girl he met in the nightclub.

I do think that its innappropriate conduct, for her to sleep with her friends son. But do I think he will sit back through the years suffering over his decision to have one off sex with older lady when he was 18? I some how don't see that.

In my opinion,.... being a mother of two (males), over 18.
It is something i would find wrong. It is not the chronological age so much. It is the mental/physical/emotional age (maturity). You are more wise to those things then he.

As for the 'keeping secret', from the mother, you are creating a wedge between mother/your friend and her son.
And a secret as we know, nearly alway's is found out. However, these are my views.

My first experience was with an "older" woman and I feel I took absolutely no harm from the experience. But I would say to you that his parents will probably feel differently- you will lose their trust and friendship if they find out. If you continue you should definitely apply "CAMPSITE RULES". i.e. Leave the site in better shape than you found it. Educate, protect his physical and emotional health. You are the "Adult" here. You are responsable for the relationship continuing and ending "well". That includes being aware of his emotions and making sure that if he "falls in love" with you that he really understands what a relationship with an "older" woman will mean...maybe do some research yourself on what may come.
Such relationships are not as "in the closet" as they were even ten years ago. God guide and bless both of you.

While I don't think you took advantage of him I think you know well that the relationship should stop there, continueing this will just create a complicated mess. And It doesn't seem like you want an adult relationship with him so why go any further. Create a little distance from the whole family for a little while.

He's 18... he's old enough to go to war, vote, be held responsible for his actions in a court etc... etc... he's an adult. Most older women would not care to date a guy that young as they have so much more maturing to do intellectually. But I mean 18 years old females star in porns, strip in clubs, work in brothels in nevada etc etc... I don't think entering in this relationship was wise on her part given the nature of her relationship with his mother... but I really don't think its fair to lay the burdeon of the activity squarely on her. He's a legal adult.

As the saying goes, "Everything I like is either illegal, immoral, or improper." I'm not going to pass judgement on either party in this affair (and it is an affair). Let's just call it improper. I'm 56 and I find women less than half my age smokin' hot. So I can see how this could happen. But really, for this to be anything other than a sexual relationship, I think the parties need to be closer to the same age (and as mentioned previously) interlecturally more equivalent. Write this one off to a fun mistake and move on. "Those who do not learn from their mistakes are condemned to repeat them."
