He came inside me for the first time...and it burned like !!!

I have been on birth control for the past few weeks. Last night, my boyfriend came inside me for the first time and it burned! The burning sensation lasted for about an hour after sex and hurt when I urinated.

It was the first time he has come inside me (only guy I've ever had sex with, so I can't compare this experience with any other). Is this normal and will this go away eventually?

Also, a sidenote: I'm freaked out about getting pregnant even while on BC. I know it is 99% effective, but I'm scared I'm going to be in that 1%. We are in a dedicated, loving, loyal relationship and I'm not scared of him leaving me, I'm just scared of getting pregnant when we are not ready for it. Somebody please give me peace of mind?

I'm in the same boat as you.

Last week, my boyfriend came inside me for the first time. I had never let him do it before. I have been on HBC for three years but I was always too afraid. Lol, but I decided to finally let him last week. I had a little bit of discomfort afterward as well. Like the burning and whatnot. I suppose its just normal because its the first time its happened. I can't really give you a lot of advice about it because it was the first time for me as well.

And as far as birth control goes, the pill as you know is 99% effective when taken as directed and when you don't skip any pills. I haven't had any pregnancy scares with my boyfriend and we have been together a year and a half. We used to always use condoms starting out plus the pill but then dropped them afterwards and just relied on the pill. We had been using withdrawal those past few months and no scares at all. Technically, you are supposed to be able to just rely on the pill and not use a back up! Its what its meant for. Of course, there is always a chance but its very unlikely if you never miss one and take it on time.

So just don't worry about it! If you are really that uncomfortable about only relying on it, just use backup. I have learned not to be so afraid. I mean I used to be OCD and always freak out after sex and I'm sure it put a damper on the relationship. Lol

Why don't you use a diaphram or cerv. cap in addition to the pill? If for peace of mind if nothing else.

        AG,

I still get paranoid, but I can tell you (and believe WC has stated this before as well). I have been on BC for um, 8 years now. Almost 9. I have had sex without condoms more times than I can count and it's always worked. (committed relationships only... before the sex police jump on me ) It's a bit unnerving because there is a chance, BUT you can always use some spermicide or a diaphram like P3375 suggested if you really need the extra comfort.

Otherwise, if you are taking your birth control like you should and you have been on it for a while, I wouldn't worry *too* much.

I just saw something similar to this on "Strange Sex" last night on TLC. Perhaps you have a semen allergy? I know it sounds far fetched, but more women than we realize suffer with this. The poor woman on this show had miserable sex with her boyfriend for a period of several years before anyone ever thought to check her for an allergy. Sure enough...there was the problem.

AG, do you have a burning sensation after sex some of the times? There is possibilities of a ph difference, minor cuts and abrasions, allergies and bacterial infection on your part as well as other explanations.

i have heard of this before! It could be a possibility with me, but I also cannot use lubes. We have tried 4 or 5 different lubes and they all burn me inside. Maybe I have a cut or something internally that is making everything burn!

We have always used condoms or pull-out and that never burned afterward at all. I am thinking maybe I have a minor cut since we cannot use lubes either, they burn me.
