    I do a bit of trimming but it really only has to do with comfort, because I don't like to feel as if I'm smuggling a brillo pad in my pants while its hot and humid outside.

      I shave most of my pubic area because it just feels better now. It helps keep it clean, but as said before, cleanliness is about regular washing and that's it basically.
      You can be completely shaved but still be smelly. I would however recommend regular trimming, even if you keep pubic hair. It just looks neater and will keep potential odour down. After all, that is why we have hair there, to trap odour for which our sexual mates will find attractive. Leastwise that's how we were all designed originally. Trouble is some of the odour that gets trapped is not attractive.
