    frustrated newlywed

i've been married for a few months. i waited to have sex until i got married. my husband and i have tried to have sex many times but were unable to do so because it just hurts too bad! he's very understanding but it is just so frustrating for us both. it sucks because you hear all of these perfect stories of honeymoons and how the sex was so great, and that was just not the case for me. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Sex for the first time can be sore for some people, but as the saying goes "practice makes perfect".
But if it hurts really bad as you say, you might want to consult your doctor about this to rule out any medical reasons why it may do so.
Sex is great, especially with someone you love, and it's a great way to connect intimately with your partner and feel so close to them.

Absolutely see your doctor: it should not be painful.

Ooooo of course it can be painful the first time, it hurt me, not to the point I couldn't do it though, I expected some pain.

When does it start to hurt so bad you can't go through with it ??

Your talking about more than the first time, on-going..

Some girls are very tight there, small. This could be a problem, it's natural to tighten up, through fear but there should not be pain, after the Hymen has been broken, to the level of a few months...

Please as Texasred stated, consult a Doctor and be examined...

Don't be frightened it's common and you will be okay with all of this...

Of course she should see a doctor, but she should not be told there should not be any pain involved, breaking the Hymen can and does hurt, well for some of us anyway..

Sid It does not appear that she has been able to break her Hymen, if you have another look, she's stating, married, waited, tried, but un-able as it hurts.. this has been going on for a few months...

And thats why I asked "when it starts to hurt" is it when he first enters ?? Maybe an inch in ?? These are all factors...

Think we are on the same page there, you mention hymen, i mention hasn't happened, you pose when does it hurt, shouldn't be the case, normally..

In any event, the OP has asked a question, we've posed questions and best to wait till she replies to those..
