Ask her to buy you some contraception, she'd work it out.
Or ask her how she felt if you started have sex at your age. Then drop into the talk that you've already tried.
It's hard to judge without knowing your mom, you're the best judge of her character. I'd prefer if my kids wanted to talk about it and let me know, not all parents are the same.Comment

I agree. Try to ask her how she would feel if a teen your age would be doing it and breaking it to her gently if the topic goes towards the truth. She might get upset at first but I'm sure she'd appreciate it in the end once you'll tell her. Goodluck!Or ask her how she felt if you started have sex at your age. It's good for you to be open with your mom about this. I give you major props as I was really nervous to open up to my mom.
I think the most important thing to let her know is that her knowing you're active can keep you more safe. This gives your mom the opportunity to give you guidance and make sure that you're staying safe. And this allows you to open up to her if you have any questions. She may not react in a great way at first, but she really will appreciate your willingness to open up about this.Comment

It probably won't seem that long ago to her that she was your age and will probably relate to you more than you might think.Last edited by Jimbeau; 10-19-2010, 04:02 PM.Comment
