For all you know it could be a gag gift someone bought them for their anniversery or that they won as a joke at some after hours office party. Just because you found them doesn't mean they are using them and if they are using them it doesn't mean your mom is using it on your dad, and it doesn't mean he has ED... it could be any number of reasons they use it and it could be that they've never used them at all.

50 seems old when you are young, but when you are 50 you can still feel young. Many people have passionate exciting sex until very late in life. Also don't get the idea that people were more "innocent" in the past - people have been having all sorts of kinky fun for thousands of years.

I know it is shocking to find out your parents engage in non-traditional sex, but I think its a LOT better than if they had no sex life. This means they are still enjoying each other, still fascinated and excited by each other. Think how sad it would be if they lived together for decades and didn't have a great sex life.

It is just as shocking to parents when they find out that their "little girl" is having sex.
