That's exactly it, enthusiasm, excitement, eagerness and a positive attitude. If you have those, you can almost do nothing wrong when it comes to sex. Be sure to let go of any silly inhibitions. Inhibitions are a real drag, so if you have some, get over 'em. Be adventurous. I was a virgin until age 39 and it absolutely was not a problem. He said to me that we're all virgins every time because no matter who we are, everyone is different and we have to learn about each other, so no big deal. It doesn't happen osmosis either. Good communication is very, very, very important! You have to know yourself and be able to tell your partner what your needs are. You are also each responsible for your own orgasm, so you'd better know how to give yourself one otherwise you can't expect him to somehow magically do it for you if you don't know how yourself. That means knowing your body well enough to at least be able to masturbate to orgasm. Don't be afraid to tell him your needs and fantasies (and him you). We all have them and we all think we're specially kinky or something.

Thanks for the comments everyone this has really helped me alot, I think your right where I went wrong is that I was shy and didn't make the effort(for dating/sex) ie. made him do all the work. Next time I have sex i'm going to let the guy know I am inexpierenced because with my ex I did hide it but it showed through. I'm going to try, be my self and be enthusiastic.

I don't think i tried enough which is why it ended - I'm not going to say I didn't do anything wrong because I did. For the guy saying girls can't change with sex is definitely wrong. I think you've all told me that every body is different and to see what everyone likes, and the more you practice the better you get at something. If you've never done something before how can you possibly be good at it? I really do believe a couple needs to have sex for a good while before it is really good so how could he have made that assumption?

Don't make a chore or a lesson to be learned. That doesn't sound much fun. Be honest and treat it as an adventure, a secret garden to discover and explore.

no no no, all im saying is that I learned where I went wrong last time. I won't make that mistake in the future by being shy im going to be enthusiatic about it and try new things.

I think it all depends on the woman. A man likes for his women to not be to shy, biggest thing that bothers a man is women unconforable in their own skin, hiding your naked body is something they dont understand. If you are to hesitant or unwilling to try things it can become frustrating. For me I am enthusiastic to pleasure the men I am with.It is a huge turn on for me to see and hear my man enjoying himself. Also don't be frightened to ask the men you are with what they enjoy most, they will be excited and more then willing to let you know. If you aren't willing to try things, dont show excitment, or dont want to have new experiences be ready to be kicked to the curb.

What if a guy had multiple past partners who were totally wild screaming, bouncing off the walls, squirming dirty talking girls that he is absolutely loving to experience...and therefore prefers due to his experience suddenly has this new girl who gives a bj (for example) but does not go "all out" with spitting or moaning or angry 'sexy' face oral. That girl would obviously want to be pleasing him because she is going down on him but is just not doing it in a "look at me I am crazy good" way. Would he not eventually have some thoughts cross his mind that "hey I wish this girl was like the others and had more experience to perform like the others?" and maybe consider leaving her because of that?
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

Enthusiasm makes people feel good. Most women like it when the man that goes down on them is like YUM... and is loving every second of it... not tossing a lick here , backing a way... "are you done?" turning head to look at the tv.. stopping, sighing, making ick faces , spitting into a towel like they just ate something gross... it would be humiliating if a guy did that to us... but so many men endure blow jobs exactly like that.

Enthusiasm doesn't have to be blow jobs, it doesn't have to be porn faces... its about smiling, telling him you like it... and genuinly enjoy giving and recieving pleasure... its something that just feels good to partner on the recieving end.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

                    Yes.
Your ex-boyfriend sounds like a manipulative jerk. You need to broaden your horizons, date someone else.
                    Almost anyone else.

As to your question, "Would guys end a relationship because of lack of experience?"
                    - None worth your knowing would.

                      That's what I've concluded.

You wouldn't get into a race car without taking lessons right? so it's the same with sex. There just needs to be teaching involved. But if one of the individuals doesn't teach nothing will change. Effort needs to be made on both sides.

Thanks for confirming that I was right about it, and he was just a douchebag to me.
