    Absolutely agree.

I contend however that this happens both ways; men wanting to control women, as well as women wanting to control men.
Either way, there has to be an equal partnership with both understanding each other, and respecting each other, right? - and I reiterate, tha no-one should "expect someone to accomodate them" based simply on any generalized notion that anyone "should be" subserviant; as any good relationship is mutual.

...and yes, Tex is right on the money, guys will often speak about how much they want and never get sex; even if it's 180 degrees out. When I was in my low libido period of my life, I sure as heck would never admit that to the guys either, but I also never claimed to be a stallion to anyone then either. Anyhow, I was just pulling Tex's leg and joking with him.

Men have always been like that... It's just that women have only started realizing it now, when they're "allowed" to have more than one sexual relationship in their lives and not be afraid to talk about sex, pleasure and their own needs. Men have been covering this up for thousands of years but the myth is finally busted... Not all men think about sex all the time.

OP: This issue is becoming more and more common. There's a very good chance that this won't change or even become worse. I hope not for your sake, but I can definitely tell you it's not you.
