Sigh. I understand your frustration. My last husband had no interest in sex and my kid's father before that was a 2 second wonder (he didn't start that way- it was a choice) who cared only for his own pleasure. I'm down to taking care of myself now by choice. Giving several bjs a week and getting intercourse without any attention, affection or foreplay once or twice a month just kept me wanting what I wasn't getting, so I ended my last relationship. Of course I still want what I'm not getting but at least now I don't have the frustration of the scent of his skin, his taste, touching him and wanting him so much and not getting anything from him.
Personally I find masterbation rather lame. It's better than nothing but not by much. It's like eating some bland semi nutritional cracker instead of a real meal. It keeps you from starving but who cares? I don't know what to suggest. I'm not a fan of vibrators although I have one. Not much of a fan of other toys either but I haven't tried many. There are some books on the subject. I haven't delved into them but may in the near future. Sex For One is one that looks interesting.
