Gosh I remember one of the defining moments for me when I knew I had found the man for me. We were having dinner and he brought up something I said in passing while rambling on about nothing a couple weeks prior. What was said was insignificant, it was the fact that he actually HEARD me, and valued what I had to say enough to actually remember it.

I mean I had known he listens to me, but I didn't know he was HEARING , which speaks volumes I think about how much someone cares about you... the fact they want to hear what you have to say, the fact it matters to them... whether what you are saying is important, or just silly... being heard is one of the best feelings in the world.

Most women when they are upset and ranting... don't want something fixed... they just want him to listen, to just listen, to acknowlege that their thoughts and words are valid... even if they are unreasonable , or 'stupid'... that if its something coming from their mind and heart, its worth hearing... nothing beats that really, nothing.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

Yeah it is the same for me. My boyfriend always gives me lots of love so it is a huge turn on if they are passionate. He also teases me a lot making me go crazy but that is just me. If his fingers are lubricated, i will definately say i love it when he fingers me.

My wife and I will have our 40th anniversary later this year. Recently we had an unexpectedly hectic weekend that seemed to fly by. On Monday morning I sent her an e-mail at work saying I knew the weekend was not what we hoped for, but regardless of the situation I would rather spend time with her rather than anything else. When she came home from work that day I was fixing us dinner. She walked over to me in the kitchen, undid my pants, got on her knees, and ... Well we finished on the living room couch, but Wow was that hot! I guess she liked that e-mail.

Yes, real listening, and wanting to listen, because clearly whatever I am talking about is important to me, so seeing that it is important to him too, for real, and he isn't just asking about it because he feels like he has to, but because he genuinely cares. That's big.

Little things. Leaving love notes or dirty notes. Random texts or emails to say I love you or something sexy. Sending cards, flowers, etc.. Making dinner unexpectedly or a surprise night out at your favorite places.
