I must be honest though "stressed" I was pretty disturbed when you said I could have gotten it first....my husband and i discussed that my partner number is 8 and he can't even think of the number of women he has been with...but with all honesty there is no telling who got it first or second the most important thing is to treat it and keep it to a minim...thank you for your response "stressed" as sometimes it is easier to blame someonelse than accept it could be me

To everyone that has replied....thank you so much for your response....I guess bottom line is we need to see a physician ASAP inorder to determine where we are with this.....I just let my husband read this and he is in agreement to see a physician....so on to the doctors we go....I feel like that is the only way to find out and do what we can for the kids and ourselves....

The virus can come up in the smear however the virus itself can be genetically 'dead' in simple terms. It can pop up in the scans as "yes it is there" however if it is not an active virus, as in spreading it's genes into host cells (our cells are the host), then it is just an object in the body which the immune system will not attack. So like stressed mentioned with the DNA, that DNA from the virus has to be present to signify a viral HPV infection. If the DNA is actively being transferred to the host we will see our cells lighting up with the viral DNA which is not supposed to be there and we know that an active viral infection is occurring. Same applies to bacteria, we can have tons and tons of potentially harmful bacteria in our vagina right now however if their numbers are not high enough to cause symptoms they will not send the signals to their bacteria friends to attack our cells-bacteria wait until their numbers are super super high to launch their attack a lot of the time. Sometimes our body rids of those harmful pathogens before we even notice a symptom or in the case of viral infections we simply cannot rid of some of the viruses entirely causing reoccurring symptoms for 10's of years.I just have two questions, it's my understanding that if it's hiding and just reared its head ie) from stress, or what ever has bought it to the surfice, then it wouldn't show in a pap smear previously ...as it was dormant. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment
