Who set the standard?
Who set the standard? Why are we so obsessed to have no butts? There is nothing more attractive than our beautiful natural curves ladies! A small, flat, or pancake butt is not all that attractive!!! Genders, races, age groups come in different shapes and sizes. Conforming to what one group generally looks like as a standard of beauty is _______-well you fill in the blank. Junk in the trunk is a GREAT thing. As long as one is fit and healthy, love what you got and stop trying to be built like an 8 year old boy !!!! We're women not drag queens.

Well I probably can't say too much about women and their body image and the obsession the world has with the way women look without coming off sounding like a rampant lesbian feminist!
(Not that there's anything wrong with that!
) However I completely agree with you inquisitive.
Considering we all get old and wrinkly eventually, it's such a shame that people can't just appreciate women for who they are and not how they look.
Although, I've always been supremely jealous of drag queens!! I mean all that glitter and over the top glamour!! Wish I could be a drag queen for a day! It's always looked like soooo much fun.

Turquoise thank for your reply. For the record you are WAY TO FUNNY!!! I'm still laughing. I didn't think you meant it this way but just for the record I wasn't dragging on drag queens. The DQ's I've known are fun people! Thanks again.Well I probably can't say too much about women and their body image and the obsession the world has with the way women look without coming off sounding like a rampant lesbian feminist!

Yeah, I have my moments!
Glad I made you laugh though, inquisitive. Nothing like a good giggle! It's good for the soul.
Oh and by the way, I didn't think you were dragging on drag queens, I mean they're FABULOUS DARLING! Who wouldn't want to be one?
Anyway, I'm all for each of us discovering our inner drag queen and being as fabulous as we can be! People are so much more than their skins or the clothes they wear, or that extra bit of cellulite on their thighs.
I completely agree with you that people, especially women, should just be able to be who they are. Who we are on the inside is far more beautiful than anything we can manage with our exterior, even with sequins and feathers!
And just for the record, I think curvy women, with real butts are gorgeous, like Marilyn Munro.Comment

Used to be a stick figure, boys called me Olive Oyl and Bones. Now I'm curvy. Men like 'em both. Men like it all. They're never as picky as they claim to be.
I guess the problem is that most - not all - women think the grass is greener on the other side. I wish I had the thighs I did when I was a stick figure - or anyway - appreciated the thighs I had, but I'll happily give them up for the D-twins and the tushie.

I looooove my big boobs and fat butt. That's right, my butt isn't "big" or "round," it's just "fat" and I like it that way.
The way I figure, if I can jog a mile without stopping to walk at all, I'm in decent shape and I shouldn't worry about my body if my man doesn't. I'm 5'8", I'll never fit into a size 0 (my hipbones aren't that small!) and I shouldn't try for something that will just make me miserable when white chocolate macadamia nut cookies from WalMart make me soooo happy ...
But I feel bad for girls whose hip bones do and should fit into a size 0, since people make fun of them a lot. We just are ... who we are.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

Curvy behinds and thick thighs that is all right with me. I know what I like and a flat olive oil figure is just not as attractive. Why should any man still think that with a burger gut and man boobs he has to critique any woman. My wife is constantly saying her butts getting big and I constantly tell her it is just fine. I just want to see it more.Comment

This has always been the way I feel. I've always had a "bad taste in my mouth" about this. I've wondered why it seems that a girlfriend/wife couldn't gain 5 lbs. but her husband/boyfriend could get bald and fat and it was ok. I'll stop there .... I get really riled up when I talk about this subject with my boyfriend .... he kids me and tells me I'm a man hater.
I hate the way the media and Hollywood tries to set the standard as to how women look - anorexic. There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.Comment
