My boyfriend wasn't born in the US and he had to get circumcised because one time during intercourse, his penis started bleeding, and the doctor told him that that's likely due to his foreskin being too tight... and really advised that he go get cut. Anyway, I don't think he felt emasculated... or that that's contributing to his desire to have sex (or not). He wasn't particularly against the idea of getting circumcised (except for the inconvenience of the procedure itself and the aftermath) and we both agreed it looks nicer post-circumcision.

He did mention, even at the end of January/early Feb (at which point, it had been like 6-8 weeks since the procedure), that his penis is still a bit sensitive from the recovery (and at a 3-wk checkup after the circumcision, the doctor told my bf that he was recovering a little slower than most people)...

Anyway, I guess I'm not sure how to talk to him about it without making him feel like something's wrong with him for not wanting to have sex with me (like he's not a "man" enough or something) or making myself feel like a ****ty girlfriend for wanting to have sex more...

Scramble, you can ask in a caring way, that doesn't make you sound ****ty, why you can't have sex more often. Ask him, in a maternal kind of caring way, if he feels discomfort with his penis, and can you help?. Sounds like he's one of the few men that really needed the circumcision. But we men are sometimes really sensitive about our organ and maybe it will take a wee while longer for him to feel comfortable again. Best of luck x
