Sounds similar to something that has happened to me before. Felt like an outer tear in the area between the two holes. Got what looked like a bumpy rash too. I took toilet paper and put it in peroxide and then gently dabbed the sore area (definitely did not put anything inside me (no good!) ) and after a couple days of the area being left alone (no sex) it got better. Also it seemed like the area being moist would be more prone to bacterial growth, so I put powder in the undies for a few days. Worked.

      Yikes

So I went to the doctor last Saturday and yes, it's herpes. They do a very painful pap smear, which is bearable if you relax, but then thats just the beginning. When they find out you have one STD, they check you for them all. So they had just told me the diagnosis and the nurse goes, we're going to also check you for gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and to see if you're pregnant. My eyes couldn't have been bigger lmao.

It's not too bad though. They draw your blood for the HIV test, prescribe you pills for the herpes and to take of the off-chance that you might have chlamydia, give you a shot in your bum for gonorrhea and make you give a urine sample so they can check if you're pregnant.

I went through this alone and I couldn't be prouder of myself. Once I got home I told my boyfriend and my mom, and then I took a nap. About 3 hours after being told I have a lifetime disease, I was back to normal. There's no use kicking yourself over it, because there are much worse things to be diagnosed with, so be glad it's none of those.

I hope this is helpful. And I hope that it isn't herpes, but just in case it is, I decided to tell you my experience to prepare you because I had no idea what I was in for.

Beckers, sorry to hear you're having to go through that. Sounds like your BF needs to get tested as well. Any idea where you got the herpes? You're right not to beat yourself up..can't change it.

The original poster never responded but we can all hope her situation got better.

I hope the original poster is okay.

But yeah I got herpes through oral sex with my bf. He has the habit of getting cold sores but they never seemed bad enough to cause a problem like this. And yes, he's getting tested Monday, even though he most likely has it by now.

It's okay though because this experience made us even closer, instead of breaking us up. It's an unfortunate event, but I really can't complain.
