Kissing is one of the most fun things. Go with the flow of what your partner wants, but be willing to take it to the next level or two.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
      ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia

No one has any idea how much. I don't think she even knows. It's almost beyond love somehow, if that's even possible. It's on a different plane, like in another dimension. Totally unexplainable, no words for it. It's like nothing I have ever felt before. How can you ever agree to divorce someone you love That much? It's a free love with no strings or conditions. She and I don't smother each other and no jealously either. Like nothing I've ever experienced before. Yes, I love her with every cell of my being. I'd do Anything to make my Lady happy, whatever it takes. I wish everyone could feel this about their Sweetie, it's a once in a lifetime love. I'll love her until my last breath. Makes me cry just thinking about it. She's my everything in life, my only True Love.

I think you should start slowly and go with the flow but don't rush. And it can get a bit sloppy which is not so good but don't forget you can kiss the lower lip and the upper lip and use your tongue. If you find yourself getting into the sensation and being aware of the other person it can carry you away and be a very powerful experience - so I have found! "Kissing is the very best sort of foreplay - and during-play, and post-play... "

Just my belief... Kissing shouldn't be just a peck on the cheek with your lover. It should mean something, it should mean I love you. All of your feelings and emotions can be put into a kiss if you want to put them in there. It's not so much of a conscience thing, but an unconscience desire to convey feelings of love, emotion and desire to please your partner. Sadly only a few know this or even attempt to really get into the kiss and try to convey those feelings, just my experience talking there- I put everything I can possibly put into a kiss for the other person to enjoy. I'm worried about their reception of my kiss and what really makes their soul fly. When I kiss the other person, I want my kiss to put them on cloud 9. It is possible to have an orgasm from a single soft lip tongue and all kind of kiss. Well, for me anyway. Hope this helps you in your experiences with kissing and it's addictive, intoxicating and wonderful feelings.

To me first kisses suck! You're all nervous and too concerned with what the other will be thinking!!!
Just get it over with- but i don't mean that in a bad way. Make is special.
I was silly and purposely kissed someone i didn't like, so that i could kiss someone i did and KNOW what to do. I did it because i feared future rejection from the one i would love. That's silly, because if they loved me too they'd be patient while i learnt. I wish i waited!
First kiss. You'll be confused and it will feel WEIRRRRD! But it's like riding a bike. Literally i felt like an idiot on my first kiss, i had NO idea what i was doing. Infact i was freaking out so badly i froze and about 10 seconds in was like "OH YEH, i'm supposed to MOVE my lips...somehow...i don't know how...." And you just experiment and try things.

Now, not to brag, but i've only kissed 3 guys, and 2 of them (not the first guy!) told me i was the best kisser. This is because i didn't put emotion in my kisses. All i thought was "This is going to be the best kiss they ever had". And i researched SO MANY different ways to kiss, and i tried them all, and watched for subtle reactions.

Now, don't be too concerned with performing. That will come with time. Just make it slow, not all sloppy (don't drool!) and make it mean something. Then after the first sweet kiss is over, you can start to perfect your style, i'm sure they won't be unwilling to help!
                goodluck!

I beg to differ I've kissed waaaayyyyy more than 3. A good kiss is key. If that's not there the sex probably won't be either. Being able to let emotion flow through a kiss is a big factor, the technical details are important but a really good kiss is not a performance.

Seems to me first kisses are all very different. My very first kiss was egged on by my sister and some guy she was hanging out with they didn't know I was crushing on. Later on he came up to my room to try and make out with me... I felt SO awkward and was so nervous he gave up, laughed at me and just left. They started dating 2 weeks later... it was a freaking awful experience.

First relationship kiss was forgotten.. Ha ha.. woke him up to tell him I was going home(he'd fallen asleep) and he just pulled me down and planted a sloppy kiss on me... said night.. and went back to sleep. He never remembered it.

The first kiss with my husband I'll never forget. I literally saw like sparks/stars... my toes completely curled. It was both the sweetest and most intense kiss I had had in my life. It started so fast I had no time to get nervous about it. I'd just told him that I liked him... then his hand was on my face and it was like he couldn't help himself, he kissed me. I felt really wanted and cherished in that moment. I will never forget it.

To me emotion played a huge part in how good the kisses were. I was always extremely shy, was never making a first move and felt completely awkward in the face of "experienced" guys.

The hardest part to teach myself was I was fairly tightlipped in my nervousness... I had to focus at first to get myself relaxed and my lips to soften.

I say have fun learning and read up on some technique so you have something to go off of, maybe it'll help so you don't feel as anxious as you might feel when that time comes. But I think the truly amazing kisses come when your heart is in it and probably will have less to do with technique than chemistry and reading the other person.

My first kiss was just a general it fit the moment. We were on his bed watching a movie, the remote fell and we both went to get it but he said no and then looked at me and just kissed me. The worst is sloppy kisses. Drool and lashing tongue is by no means amazing. Adding some tongue while in the moment is fine but definitely do not go right out of the gate playing tonsil hockey with each other.
