It's certainly not a tenet of their religion! The priests who molest children are acting INCREDIBLY out of line. They are drunk on power and use that against the children for whom they are responsible. They probably act on boys because they are able to be closer to them; girls aren't permitted to have such an integral role in the mass as altar boys, etc (at least not traditionally. Correct me if I'm wrong.)
My only issue with your combining religion and sex is that have on a few occasions just condemned people to hell. You don't bother to say that this limitation exists only in whichever religions we're speaking of, because it CERTAINLY doesn't exist in many religions and cultures, some of which actually ACCEPT homosexuality. You don't seem to want to agree to disagree, but insist on continuing to insult people. (Condemning someone to hell is most decidedly an insult and I personally don't think any of us are qualified to do so; that's God's decision.)
Of course, those are all things you can improve on, in fact immediately. I respect you; you give good advice on many fronts and I like the way you support a more conservative view on marriage and teen sex, but I really dislike how you handle religion with sex.

now come on. that's not a real question. why have all the murderers in the world murdered people - different reasons & different situations.

are you wondering more about how they were able to molest children when they were in positions of leadership in the church? the same way any of us who profess to be christian break what we know to be God's law every day. inch by inch moving away from the truth & allowing things that we know to be wrong to make us feel less & less guilty.

as our tolerance of what's wrong increases, our conscience gets quieter & quieter until one day we are actually able to do something unthinkable.

this is exactly why you're so adamantly voicing your opositions to anal sex. you believe it to be wrong & you see everyone's toleration of it to be just one more step away from truth.

      am i right?

now specifically - why do they molest children? obviously, their sexual desires have been twisted. and i'll bet it didn't happen overnight. i'll bet they weren't born sexually desiring children either.

and i would bet just about anything that in every single case - EVERY CASE - you would find at some point along the journey to pedophelia there would be pornography.

is it a reflection on christianity? for unbelievers, unfortunately so. if all you know of the coach is what you see from the team members wearing the uniform, you may not get an accurate picture of the coach's character. especially if TO is the player you're watching. for those of us who know the real Christ - absolutely not. my behavior will tell you what's in my heart - not what God is like. if the two agree, great. what's in my heart is what God is like - then you get a true picture.

but just because i wear a robe and a cross on my neck - that doesn't promise my heart is pure.

going to church doesn't make you a believer any more than going to mcdonald's makes you a hamburger.

Murderers kill because of one reason.. They think God is not watching them.

God didn't give us a need for sex. desire, not need. you can live a meaningful, happy life without it.

who said he hates to see us have sex, anyway? where did that come from?

            .

Everyone insults God or his prophets or his books; is going to hell. That is a clear sentence in all the holly books. Unless they repent to God.
It is not the same if I tell someone ?Go to hell?, that is an insult. >>

That's just plain incorrect. There are many religions that allow homosexuality. Whether you agree with them or not is an entirely moot point.
Reform Judaism and multiple Protestant sects accept it. Neopagan religions of all kinds including Wicca accept it. There are multiple cultures throughout the world where it is not only accepted, but encouraged or just as normal as heterosexual relations!
Open your mind. You invited being "attacked" through your harsh words and fanatical statements; you invited it by attacking others in the first place.
Homosexuality has been practiced in every part of the world since recorded history began and it isn't going anywhere. You would do well to just ignore it and refrain from it by yourself, since you seem incapable of tolerating it.

I said Holy laws, meaning God laws, but these are not. if there is a permission that came from people themselves, , not from God.
