Sorry the scientist in me can't let this pass. Standard deviations are only an appropriate measure for gaussian distributions. Some distributions have long tails - eg an unusual number of points far from the average.

But - your basic conclusion is fine. 6" is around average. 11" is very rare. (assuming data published in wikipedia and other sources is correct).

And further to this, the data would be relevant only if taken from a large worldwide sample, rather than a predominantly white, North American college crowd.

I think if you're allowed to discuss graphical sexual things in the nature of learning, a picture in the same vein would be entirely appropriate.
