    Reply to several above

    From LSL222:

After working in the therapy field, I heard so much about this subject (and others) that are just bizarre to me. Someone commented to my comment...it's just semen....what's the big deal? What IS the big deal? That was my point. It's made into a big deal. I just completed a book review where the writer discusses how to "get your woman to swallow"...what the heck is this? That's the marking your woman from a psychological perspective. See it for what it is, is all. When it's made into an issue as it is in our culture.

In my view, actually "swallowing" isn't a big deal. The issue for me is heightened stimulation through the orgasm. When the oral stimulation stops just before orgasm, it tends to take away from the sensation. Now this is not always the case, and recently my wife and I have been experimenting with olive oil with some...um...may I say...mind-blowing results!

As for other men - the decent ones that is - I imagine there is probably some sense that if a woman swallows it signifies she is really "in to" the guy. Plus, it makes cleanup afterward easier.

I'll add a disclaimer - I've been married faithfully to my wife for over 20 years and I don't talk about sex with my guy friends. So, my ability to answer this question knowledgeably for other men is very limited.
      Hello OneWomanMan-
Thank you for graciously answering all my questions. Your response is pretty consistant with what I've heard before. I agree that it's not a real BIG deal, (at least not for me) as it doesn't rank as one of those, "out of bounds" things for me. I can't speak for anyone but myself. For some people this may be a big deal- and that's okay too. However, I always try to be mindful not to project my opinions onto others, as though it's the only way to feel/appropriately respond. I appreciate your ability to do the same in your answers to me. As you pointed out this act could be interpreted as she is really into him,(from both perspectives), or it could just be all about the sexual sensation, not just a matter of marking a woman as territory. Be Blessed!!!

And what it is is a big deal to many men. These things don't form in a vacuum LSL222. There is a reason that there is so much discussion about this among men. It is an act that makes the sexual intimacy incredible to most men.

You have the cart woefully before the horse. It's not "made" into an issue, it *is* an issue. Again, for most men.

Bravo!!! I agree with GoodGuy on this one. I too in part have an education in Psych. I do not believe it's as cut and dry as LSL222 presents it with the comment that it's simply only/just, "marking your woman" as you can see in my last post to thank OneWomanMan. This is not said to single-out, alienate, or make anyone feel their being ganged-up on. At the cost of being candid, if a man where to solicit this act from a prostitute with whom he has no emotional connection and will never seek to connect with again, then he is certainly not even remotely attempting to mark that prostitute i.e. "marking your woman". The language was so strong I needed to respond. Thanks. Be Blessed!!!

This may seem easy for a guy to say, but try reforming your visceral reaction to it. If you can convince yourself that it is something you crave, and stay with it for a while so that you give yourself a chance over time to get used to it, you may see a whole different level of intimacy with your guy.

I'm dead serious about that. Don't just "try it". Commit to it (within yourself) for a period of time, and see the result.

I've spent a long time trying to figure this one out. It is possible that there is an element of deprecation that is appealing. As if the woman is communicating "I am so taken by you that I will debase myself", but that is not quite right, because it simply is not usually an act of self deprecation. I'm not entirely sure on why this is so appealing, after all these years. I have several more ideas floating about, but they are very wordy in explanation and far more counterintuitive, so I'll keep them out of here.

I just dont like the taste. Kind of like ranch dressing...I dont like it. I cant even convince myself to eat ranch dressing because I gag at the smell. I think semen has that same effect on me. I simply dont like it!

I like it. The only thing I find odd about it is an odd sensation at the back of my throat just after I swallow. Anybody else get this? It's not a bad sensation, just odd, but I don't mind how it feels.

I'd be a little disappointed if my man didn't let me swallow.

Not quite, the money shot all over the face/chest of a woman as seen in porn is territory marking. For me, it just means a lot if I enjoy the taste of a woman that she feels the same way. Nobody wants to be considered disgusting, even when they are.

Of course, I stopped eating meat more than once a week when I realized how drastically it affected the flavor. If a man's not willing to change his diet, it's just not important to him.

I am SO with CarolineWH on the subject. I love doing it for my man. It's definitely not for the taste, which sometimes isn't bad, but other times isn't great. It's for the reason that I know it blows his mind when I do it, and that- in turn, gets me even hotter. By the way, the "clorox" taste that you talked about is actually a natural disinfectant that is designed to keep the sperm pure from whatever bacteria may be present in the vagina, for impregnation reasons.
