    What's wrong with me??

Have questions about vibrator use or loss of sensitivity?

    We have more answers!

Read our full article, “Can Vibrators Desensitize Or Damage My Clitoris, Or Vagina?” here:

    https://www.womens-health.com/desensitized-clitoris

I'm 17 (a virgin) and recently have begun masturbating. The problem is that I have not climaxed. I've had several moments where I felt I was going to, but I don't actually do. I also noticed that with my fingers, I don't get excited at all. I've been using a vibrator and it's helped somewhat, but I don't particularly get clitoral stimulation. My clitoris is kind of small and even if I'm excited, it doesn't really get larger or "come out" from under its hood. This frustrates me because I feel I'm on the edge of release, but it doesn't happen and then my high goes down and I start getting dry again. But when I'm wet, I produce a clear discharge, is that normal? It's sticky but doesn't have an odor. Am I just not going about it the right way? I don't know what else to try, nothing seems to make me cum even though I feel like it. I'm concerned I have no sensitivity in my clitoris because I hear all the time it's so sensitive, but mine isn't?

    Is there a problem?

Not really sure as i am not that sexually experienced myself, but maybe you will climax once a actual penis is involved as this may provide better stimulation than your vibe.

You just have to keep experimenting, as sucky as that answer sounds.

Try rubbing/pressing right under your clit. It's a soft patch and if you push against it when you're excited, you should feel a little hard, boney-feeling "shaft"--that's part of your clit. For many women that area is more pleasurable than touching the clit itself.

Maybe the problem is ur using a vibrator too much and it desensitizes ur clit. I have no problem masturbating to climax usually but If I use a vibrator often I get less sensitive and then require it for awhile. Stop using it and then try just ur fingers for awhile

It doesn't sound like you have anything wrong with you. I recently spoke to a girl who didn't start masturbating or even have her first orgasm until she was 25! I started masturbating when I was about 13 or 14 and it took me a while (couple of months I think) before I managed to be able to ejaculate properly. We're all different and one privilege you should enjoy is that to explore your own body in your own time, at a pace you are comfortable with.

A rampant rabbit vibrator will directly target the clitoris, and can potentially lead to a clitoral orgasm. You may simply need to pull the skin covering your clit (clitoral hood) back to expose your clitoris directly to touch.

Using a vibrator can potentially lead to a vaginal or g-spot orgasm. My ex used to have g-spot orgasms with me and clitoral orgasms with her rabbit. I think she only had one vaginal orgasm (with me) through sex in three and a half years. But achieved g-spot orgasms easily and regularly.

You're not abnormal at all, and kudos to you for learning to explore your body and learn yourself at a young age. One of the most important factors of having great sex with someone is knowing your own body, knowing what you need/want out of sex. You will definitely discover that about yourself. But remember, sex and masturbation aren't meant to be something frustrating. If you allow yourself to feel worried and stressed over what is or is not happening during masturbation, you take away the best part of the experience and make it almost impossible for your body to react like it normally would. Many women are VERY emotionally/mentally connected with sex. You need to be relaxed, comfortable, and patient.

Be careful using the vib too much on the clit, or you will likely reduce its sensitivity. Maybe you're someone that needs more of a light rub than a direct contract vibration combined with some light penetration.

            Ps. LOVE your name.

Thank you all. I've only recently bought my vibrator last week, so I only used it a couple times, but I can't seem to get any pleasure with my fingers I tried rubbing my clit with my fingers but it doesn't really work...and fingering doesn't help either.

have you tried watching porn etc. to get you 'in the mood'? maybe its your approach to it that isnt working for you. i find that the more turned on you are the faster it will happen and the more pleasurable it is.

K, I really hope this isn't inappropriate...I just don't have a good line of what's normal to say and what's not. haha
But try watching some of James Deen's stuff. Some (in my opinion) is WAY excessive and not very hot, but not all of it is "too much." And I find him super cute--not the typical "porn guy" and he reminds me of my fiancee Recently, the HUGE following of women (and teens) he has is coming out in DROVES!
