Re: orgasm and physical sexual satisfaction, question for women only

This is for women only. I am seeking your opinion based on your experience.

Is it possible for a woman to experience greater "physical sexual satisfaction" from a sexual encounter (with or without intercourse) where no orgasm is achieved than from a sexual encounter (with or without intercourse) where an orgasm is achieved?
The questions originates from a conversation with some of my girlfriends. Someone used the example of a sexual encounter she had where the man digitally petetrated her vagina and she masturbated until orgasm. The intercourse afterward was not great. Then with her next partner there was no orgasm or even intercourse the first time they were intimate. Just heavy making out - touching, kissing, and oral sex on him by her. However, she swears that she felt greater sexual stimulation and greater satisfaction during the latter encounter even though it did not involve an orgasm or intercourse, and the first one did.

Is this possible? Doesn't the orgasm with the first guy imply that the encounter brought greater sexual satisfaction or am I missing something? How could the second scenario, as described, be more sexually stimulating and satisfying than the first? Or could it even?

Absolutely. An orgasm is not required in order to have sexual satisfaction, many women would say they do not make orgasm a goal at all but if it happens then great. How that encounter was overall in a satisfaction standpoint can be based on a variety of things such as attachment to the person, how emotionally involved the encounter was, what acts are done, how they are done, whether there is pain or not, and others that women would be able to come up with. To some women merely having a good make out session can be fully satisfying even if intercourse never happened. It is all an individual and subjective matter.

Completely. I would say 75% of sex is in your head. Your body may go through the responses, but if you mind isn't turned on to it, you can't really enjoy. Just like a vibrator can get me to orgasm each time, but it doesn't compare to the sex with my spouse which doesn't always lead to orgasm.

I don't need an orgasm to enjoy the act. I enjoy the little things, such as being touched, carressed, and licked. I also enjoy giving pleasure to others.

Totally possible. I'd much rather have a hot and heavy session of touching, carressing, and oral sex, compaired to mediocure sex. For me it would be the mental stimulation... having something to think about until the next time.

I love these "for only" questions... As this is an open forum and there are several good men in here, of which I am one, I chose to answer as well.

Seeing as how most everything starts with your brain, it is absolutely possible to have a high quality encounter without intercourse. Perhaps the "lack of" or "tease" makes it that way.

I have been able to push my SO over the top, almost to the point of concern, without actual intercourse. Or, as she would call it "mind blowing intimacy".
