My only point of contention is that the fetish may not be so easily dismissed as you maintain it is. Some people have deep-seated issues that manifest in fetish behavior, so in that sense, it is similar to an accident with physical disfiguration. If he requires extensive therapy to resolve it, is it right for her to conclude that he's just beings selfish and walk away? -
From another who likes diapers
After he told you, your relationship got better briefly. It's because he thought you might accept him. Prior to this, he had fear of rejection mixed with hope you might accept it. Then you basically told him he could wear them, but never near you. You pretty much rejected him without freeing him. He's now trapped with a woman who despises him for something he can't help. It's no different than if he had a disfiguring burn. He can not help this and you are telling him you can't look at it.
It will never go away, even with therapy. Therapy will help understand what caused it and help him accept himself. The anger may be from constant fear of rejection.
He is not a freak. He has a fetish. It's not a choice. It's the result of childhood trauma. It's not dangerous. It is challenging. A good therapist for both of you together can make you both understand this and accept it. If you actually love him, he deserves a chance.
I can answer questions about the diaper fetish. I have it too. Please ask me anything. I hope I can help.
