Lesbian porn
Hi everyone .I know this is not taboo anymore or something weird but I was wondering.. Why do most straight women like watching lesbian porn more than straight? I am straight and when I watch porn I prefer girl on girl or threesomes. What do you think? What do you like more when it comes to porn? -
Dang! I'm a straight woman!! lol.
Seriously, what's your basis for saying "most straight women"? You and your friends? That's not really a big enough sample to say one way or the other.
In my experience, most of the women I've been with didn't like porn at all. The one's that did like it typically preferred straight sex or at least some male appendage involvement at some point. But, again, that's not enough of a sample to say one way or the other about the preferences of straight women in general.
Really, all we can say at this point is that you like watching girl-on-girl and only you can answer the question as to why.Comment

Ok I'll rephrase it. Enough women to not feel weird anymore. And not me and my friends..Dang! I'm a straight woman!! lol.

I know what Melanie's talking about (tho my evidence is also anecdotal). I have straight friends who like girl-on-girl porn. I like it because I like women, but my straight friends have just said that while they like men, when it comes to pornography they prefer to see objectively attractive people do it, which apparently means women moreso than men. I don't think there's much question that from a purely aesthetic point of view, women are nicer looking than men - soft curves, gentle angles, hairlessness, etc.
Also I think many women like the concept of tenderness in sex, which tends to happen not so much in straight porn. The whole penetrative act is by nature a bit invasive, whereas two women can get up to a lot of mutually satisfying naughtyness that isn't really 'offensive' in the same way.
Whatever it is, I definitely prefer girl-on-girl myself.Comment

I find it a bit surprising that even heterosexual women find women more aesthetically pleasing.
Anyway Mel, I didn't mean to sound snarky in my response. I just wanted to better understand where you were coming from when you asked the question.
If it is true then I wouldn't be surprised if it comes from the general societal view that lesbian sex is more innocuous than straight sex. In other words people see two women having sex as less "harsh" than full penetration sex between a man and a woman. Since it's a fairly recent change in a lot of people's thinking that makes it "okay" for women to admit to enjoying, or even just viewing, porn then lesbian porn would, in most people's minds, be a safe "first step".
There are other possibilities. For example, the women in porn are, somewhat subjectively, more attractive than the men in porn. The focus of porn is so much toward males that there is just more focus on finding attractive women to put in the movies. This is certainly changing, as more women start viewing porn, but if you ever get a chance to see classic porn some of the men back in the 70's stuff were just unbelievably homely (think of Ron Jeremy, lol). Again, that's changing, but I would still say that the women in the industry are, in general, better looking than the men.
Another possibility is that straight sex in porn is often more "aggressive", for lack of a better term. It's generally rougher and faster and louder. That hasn't been true of a lot of the girl-on-girl porn, or it could be that my thinking is also colored by the perception, mostly wrong, that girl-on-girl sex is more innocent! lol.
Anyway, it's an interesting question.Comment

I'm straight, but I love women's bodies. I find myself more attracted to a good looking woman walking down the street than to a good looking man. Women are something else-nothing like beautiful women. But I don't find myself sexually attracted very often. Yes, on occasion I have been.
For porn, what I find is that a woman is trying to please her partner, whereas the man is usually pleasing himself. I'm no expert on porn-i haven't watched it regularly, and haven't peeked at it in several years now, but that's what I remember from before.
I agree with the above posters as well.Comment

As a straight male, its difficult for me to judge impartially - clearly women's bodies are more attractive to me than men's. A gay male friend of mine though definitely finds the male form more attractive, even in non-sexual ways. The ancient greeks seemed to appreciate the male form - if anything more than the female - though I don't know how to interpret that.
As far as lesbian porn being gentler: There is a wide range of porn, straight and lesbian, but it is quite possible that on average the straight stuff is more "aggressive". Do straight women who like lesbian porn tend to like the more gentle stuff, or to they like the aggressive hardcore stuff? Is the audience for the aggressive stuff almost all straight men, or to lesbian women enjoy watching this as well?Comment

My straight friends say they like the gentler stuff - "girl friendly." Personally I can appreciate a variety, tho if you mean aggressive to include abusive, I can't really get with that. If you are involved personally with someone who likes rough stuff then the consent is there which makes it okay, but the porn portrayal may not include that so it just seems like abusive - not arousing at all.Originally posted by rcoreyusDo straight women who like lesbian porn tend to like the more gentle stuff, or to they like the aggressive hardcore stuff?
