They weren't comparing, He was estimating based on a brief, glimpse from behind, unaroused. I don't have a precise measurement, I've never measured it and my husband claims he hasn't either. The best estimate I can give is 8 inches possibly slightly more based solely on condom size. We use Magnums and he told me standard condoms were at least a half inch too small.

Personally I think guys who brag about their size and/or prowess are exaggerating. Possibly trying to make up for other real or perceived inadequacies
Another friend of mine also claims to be "large" and once in conversation he mentioned that a 14 inch unit would be "about twice as big" as his. So he's aprox 7 inches based on that. I have also seen Magnum condom wrappers at his house so I know that he uses that size. But I've tried Magnums on myself, just out of curiousity. I'm big enough to "fit" although the Magnums were a tad loose so its possible the grip of a vagina might pull it off during sex which would be a terrible thing. But it didn't fall off my penis the way a sleeping bag would. Standard condoms are quite snug on me...I guess thats the biggest proof that I'm "average" sized or perhaps even a little above the average girth. But I only have to roll one down slightly more than half way to cover the length, lol.

Also Magnums and other XL branded condoms aren't any longer than standard condoms, they're all about 8 inches. Magnums just have a bit more width to allow for the thicker guys.

I said that I was estimating . To clarify, I'm using a 0.3 inch margin of error (similar to the +/-3% they use in polling data). From what I've read at Trojan's web site, a standard condom accommodates up to 7.5 inches. And Magnums up to 8.07 inches. I know smaller guys may need Magnums for girth. I would assume that above average girth would cause sex to be be painful or at the uncomfortable regardless of length Especially, with our typically long sessions. Pain has never been a problem for me, not even our first time. I consider that highly unusual because we were both virgins.

I wish I had a dollar or .01" of **** length for every article I have read on this. I have never had a complaint dating back to when I was single years ago. Im average or on the lower end of average. 6" or so with a little less than average girth for the length. As something of a bonus it seems that anal is easier for gals (did it years ago with another and now my wife) for a man who isn't hung like a mule. I still think a man who depends on size to make up for effort is missing the boat and a woman who lays back and only cares if she is getting sex by telephone pole is not worth my time or effort.

Size does matter because all women have a size preference. Like men women are all different sized and shaped and what one woman loves another may hate. I personally have an absolute limit for length and girth. I hate the 'well if you can pass a baby through there...' argument because the body goes through changes while you're pregnant to allow for the baby to pass through, things actually move out of the way AND it still HURTS LIKE HELL for most women. Also depending on where I am in my cycle my limit goes up and down, the hubby's in the average range and there are times when it's just a no go for the vag.

If we were going to get mathematical here, I would say that with a large enough sample group of the male population, there would probably be a Gaussian distribution ("bell-curve") for penis size.

The mean/average erect penis size (stated in numerous studies) would be around 5.5", and a standard deviation would maybe be a half inch either way. A significant amount of the population would fall within the first deviation (5"-6" ~68%), and even more within the second deviation (4.5"-6.5" ~95%). The third deviation would cover just about everyone else (4"-7" ~99.7%)

The super big dudes, and the super small dudes are the outliers (~0.3%). I don't see why so many guys worry about this stuff. Super tiny and super big dudes are statistically an extremely small part of the population.
