So ladies and gentlemen, what the longest your libidos have gone AWAL for? And the reason (if known) for the desertion? Mine has come and gone with various hormonal BC, I just had my Mirena removed a few weeks ago and my lovely libido has returned with a vengeance, so I am once again a very happy lady and the hubby is an extremely tired but happy man. I think we've had more sex in the past week than we'd had in the year preceding. I am a lucky lady and this week I've been rewarding the hubby for his very kind patience. Between his 60-70 hr work weeks, having a co-sleeping kid and one or both of our mom's here in our 1200 sf house it's not easy to find the time or place for nooky, so I hadn't bothered much while my libido was AWAL. I really appreciate what a good partner I have.

My libido was waning back and forth, mostly back, while I was in University. I graduated 2 years ago but during school that was basically my priority. I was so busy with researching, writing lab reports, writing papers, studying for 15 page finals or simply so stressed from it all that honestly sex was the last thing on my mind. I did try to make it happen on weekends at the very least with the bf because I knew he was not happy with the lack due to how much time I put into school.

Now that I am working it is better frequency but I do not feel any crazed desire or newly acquired jolt in libido. I am personally just not that into sex to chase him around the house or feel some exploding desire to ravish...I am far from that lol. That said I will still try to get sex to happen because I still do like it.

Thanks Jen. So has yours ever gone AWAL? From your posts I'd guess if you have it wasn't for long. My sister has never lost hers for more than a couple of weeks she's a lusty lady like yourself.

My libido peaked (like Mt. Everest) during my pregnancy 6 years ago which thrilled both the hubby and I as he's got a preggers fetish but the universe laughed at us and I developed placenta previa and couldn't have ANY sex (no orgasms because of the contractions) from 3 months on, that was a particularly joke on the part of the universe. Then we had the little one and I was recovering from the C-section and life with a little one kicked in and so sex has been very spotty for years. So a good libido spike is a time to celebrate and be joyous! Now I'm just hoping it lasts a while, like into my 50s, lol.

I've pretty much never had a lapse lol. I mean like literally since I was 17 or so I've been a sexual dynamo. I could complain that the requirements to satisfy my libido are almost like a second full time job, but I can't lie - it's great.

My story is that I was on bc pills for 13 years. When I got a bf that had had a vasectomy, I got off them and felt like I wanted to rape somebody all the time. It took me a little while to figure out that it was the bc pills killing my sex drive all those years. It's not that I didn't want to have sex ever, but I certainly didn't want it like I do now. Come to find out I have a man's sex drive I think.

Jen, I knew what you meant, I like to indulge in a little friendly chain yanking now and again. The smiley was there to indicate humor, cause heaven knows we gotta laugh at this stuff now and again.

Oh and that reminds me. What do y'all think of someone who thinks sex is no laughing matter and has NEVER laughed during sex? I found it creepy when a friend's SO said that in all seriousness and she confirmed it later.
