Yeah. Very true. I think I should just be having more fun with it. He was out mowing the lawn yesterday and my doctor gave me my ov. schedule and I forced him to come inside for 10 minutes when he was all sweaty and dirty. oh my poor husband ha ha.. Maybe we just need to be spontaneous

Some times spontaneous sex is really good Caperunner good luck I am praying for you. Parenthood is all worth it.Yeah. Very true. I think I should just be having more fun with it. You're right. When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.Comment

CapeCRunner: The first spurt of the ejaculate contains most of the sperm (only about 5% of the volume), the rest is seminal fluid produced by the prostate. As long as he's ejaculated in you, you're good for the go. As others have stated, either keep your legs/pelvis upward if you're on your back, or, if you're in doggy position, keep your butt in the air and shoulders down. About 15 minutes should be plenty. His sperm can survive inside you up to 4 days, whereas your ovum can only make it about 6 hours. Thus you need to have sex regularly during the time you expect to be ovulating (some say every other day, some say every day). The mucus plug that blocks the cervix during the rest of your cycle "drops out" during ovulation allowing the sperm to become "magnetized" toward the viable ovum. I don't think your sexual positions matter that much but your frequency of sex probably does. So have at it and enjoy. I hope you'll be expecting soon. Keep us posted.Comment

I did not know that about the first 5% thing. Waiting for him to come home now so I'll throw some of this stuff his way. lol... Thanks so much for writing back... Hopefully sooner rather than later I will be able to post on here that I am pregnant... Every time I get to "that time of the month" I get so mad because it's a pretty solid indicator that it hasn't happened yet. (and of course preg. tests)... but anyway, thanks so muchComment

Getting pregnant is a funny thing. When you don't want a pregnancy it seems that you get pregnant no matter what position you use and when you want one and you're using charts, graphs, and thermometers it never seems to work. For my husband and I getting pregnant was always fun since it happened fairly quickly early in our marriage. Both of my pregnancies were planned but we didn't chart my cycle or do anything. We just had sex. For my first daughter it took two months. For my second daughter it was the same month we tried.
