Am I a "squirter"? Please help

Have questions about the difference between squirting and female ejaculation?

    We have more answers!

Read our article, “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Squirting” here:

    Hey guys
I'm a 17 year old female with no sexual experiences with a partner so far. I have experimented with masturbation, mainly using my hands and fingers on my clitoris. Every time I try to reach the "Big O" liquid comes shooting out of my vagina. Sometimes it is a little dribble, while other times there is more than a couple of cups, regardless of the amount, this happens every time I masturbate. When I reach this stage, my whole body is tense and wired. I feel pressure building, then the liquid comes out. Every time, I stop touching myself immediately, because I am unsure if I am urinating the bed or not. Each time I stop touching myself I immediately lose the sensations running through my body. I was under the impression that an orgasm lasts for a couple of seconds, and does not stop when stimulation is ceased. Am I ejaculating with an orgasm, or am I not having an orgasm at all? It feels... Different? Good? Weird in a nice way? Its not like its all consuming, or I'm falling, or anything like the media portrays. All I feel is embarrassment and a little dissatisfied.

I did a little research on female ejaculation and many people said that it was normal, but it mostly occurred with lots of practice, experience, and g-spot stimulation. I have no practice, experience or g-spot stimulation, and it happens every time!

I am worried about what effect this will have on my future sexual relationships, as I have never had one before. Does this ever happen to anyone else?

I would love to talk with my mom about this, but we don't really talk about personal things like this, so I turned to the internet!

Hi there hon. We'll have to tread lightly a bit here due to your age but we can still straighten a few things out.

First of all there's nothing wrong with you. What's happening is indeed female ejaculation or "squirting," and lots of women do it. It can happen during orgasms or before or after them. You can have a lot of liquid or just a little liquid come out, just like you say. You're perfectly normal.

This doesn't have to affect your relationships negatively at all, again because you are totally normal. You'll just have to make a few adjustments is all, and you should actually start that now when you continue to experiment with masturbation. Main thing is really simple - just get a decent sized and weight towel or two and put them underneath where you'll have the liquid come out. No problem with messes. Any sexual partners you have should probably be told that you do that too, just so everybody's prepared.

On the masturbation question, what you need to do is not hold back when you start squirting or feeling the squirting sensation. That's probably what's leaving you dissatisfied - you're not having a proper orgasm for fear that you're doing something wrong or that something bad is happening. It isn't and you're not. Just keep going when you feel that way and squirt, let the towel do it's job, and see what happens when you just let go. I'm betting that you'll be amazed when you really have a nice big uninhibited orgasm.

Orgasms are a really intense for women (or they can be), so don't worry about being tense and wired either. That will go away after you climax in a satisfying way. Lastly, don't feel embarrassed! Be proud, you are a young woman with a healthy sexuality who is able to do something that not all women can and many wish they could. Always take pride in your sexuality and the unique characteristics that make you who you are.

If you have any more questions or doubts, we're always here to help!

You could Patti just need to train your body to do so. They say all women have ability to squirt just takes some time, maybe you need to get your girl friend to help you with this mission. It will be a fun and pleasurable time for you trying.

MG ....sorry to be all lecture-like but this isn't (yet another) thread where we all pile on about squirting. It was posted by a young woman with some insecurities, and the truth is most times women with those feelings aren't looking for an overly male presence in their responses (this is Women's Health Forum after all), and turning topics into 'fun' isn't always appropriate. Sometimes a little discretion goes a long way.
