Scale of 1-10 is such a guy thing lol. Does 10 represent perfectly satisfied and having tons of great sex, and 1 is totally dissatisfied and having no/totally bad sex? To illustrate the point, I'm a dissatisfied 10/10. The sex I have is the best it can possibly be, but I'm never satisfied (in the big picture - I do have periods of satisfaction in the afterglow lol) and I always want more and I always want to take it to the next level.

But if you're always having 10/10 how do you ever have any better?
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

The scale is fluid. A 10 yesterday is a 9 today and so on.

Before I read your response I knew it was going to be something like the above! "Sex is 10/10 and I am never satisfied." Just keep building that mystique Jen.

I think sexual satisfaction is strongly dependent upon my mindset. If I'm really in the mood, I can jump his bones when he comes through the door. It doesn't take as much during those "needy moments". It's physical and carnal need, period. It's sex. And as long as I get it, I'm satisfied.

Other times, I want the whole nine yards. I want the caressing, kissing, touching, etc. I want the connection. I want to look into his eyes and see his soul, no rushing, no outside distractions, just quality intimate time.

The physical release that comes from having an orgasm is exhilarating, however, I don't have to have the big O every time to enjoy sex. I have a pet peeve about being asked how it was. He should know if he's paying attention. It's not like there aren't visual, audible and physical clues. I know what he is really asking: did you get there? So long as I'm happy, it shouldn't matter.

1/10. My partner is always tired and never in the mood, no matter how hard I try.
She doesn't like partaking in sexual activities other than sex, she's happy to receive but not give, I love giving her oral and can make her squirt but i get nothing back other than sex once every 2 or so.
I feel unattractive because she doesn't ever want to get busy, I'm made to feel like a creeper perve every time I broach the subject.

I at the end of my tether and am trying to look for help and guidance, hence my joining of WH.
I'll post my own thread soon.

Oh wow not good just be careful I hope you a speedy recovery to get back to the enjoyment of sex again without pain. But i happy to read you been trying to have oral but just don't over do it be careful Kira.

Have you had a conversation with your partner and find out the reason for this problem. It all starts with good communication in a relationship about your feeling not just one sided deal. It always takes two to have sex so if you having issue speak up tell her your feelings what is wrong.

It shouldn't matter, but I am assuming that the question comes from the right place. He wants to know that he has pleased you. Yes there are signals, but with women, it is still hard to tell. My SO can be very loud or have one of those orgasms that she just melts into the pillow.

But you are correct, female orgasm starts in the brain and the goal should be a wonderful loving experience, not the mind blowing orgasm every time. Does he know its a pet peeve of yours? If not, let him know that you and he will talk outside of the bedroom if things are bad and could be improved.

Trust me, communication is NOT an issue. We have no problem telling each other what we want or need. I pull no punches, if I'm not pleased, there's no question - he knows! Our sex life is very active and very fulfilling.

Yes, he knows it's a pet peeve. Normally my response to his question is, "Don't Ask Me That! If I didn't enjoy it, you'd know." He doesn't question that because he knows that's true. I don't feel the need to place a goal where sex is concerned, and he shouldn't either. Being pleased doesn't necessarily mean having an orgasm, but I think most guys feel differently. Again, I have no objections to orgasm , and I love the release , but I'm not going to have one every time. Just ain't gonna happen. The emphasis should be on mutual enjoyment.
