Sex and soccer: Should teams abstain during the World Cup

A lot of teams have banned their players from having sex during the FIFA world cup. A lot of professional athletes do practice abstinence during a big game/match/fight.

Personally, I'm not sure how scientific this is.

What are your thoughts?

I'm not sure how scientific it is either, or how / if it will have any effect on the players.
as far as I know the players don't have their wives / GF with them, so they wouldn't be able to have regular sex... unless they get a hooker or 2... LOL!

does this include masturbation as well?

My self I would think it would make you loose and relax to have sex before a good game or might match. With out having sex you be tight and not think right on the game. My self I think it's a myth not a true correct fact having sex before a big game will cause you not to perform well.

Germany's team is not allowed to have sex or masturbate I believe, and they are always contenders. They look amazing on the field. So maybe there is something to it.

Not think on the game? Are you kidding? Trust me, though I am not a huge soccer fan, there is nothing on their minds but the game. They feel like rock stars. After the game, sex may be on their mind, but never before the game.

I am talking before the game the night before release of some buildn't up tension having a orgasm.It will make you feel loose and ready to play. I am not saying of them thinking of sex during the game no. You are very focus at that time on the game,

They actually theorize that the added tension from lack of sexual release is good for the aggressive play that they want to see out of players.

Maybe it was my imagination, but I felt more ready for my football games when I did not O the night before.

But you want your players to be relaxed and loose not tight to worry about making a mistake costing the team. I guess everyone is different so having sex and enjoying the release you will play differently. Myself thinking enjoying a good sexually ride is always better lol.
