When I read the first part of your post I thought you sounded ADDish, and the at the end you said you do have ADD and are on Concerta but isn't not helping. Are you on any of the ADD forums? You may need a change in meds or change the dosage. You are overthinking! I'm not diagnosed but suspect I have ADD (and I'm nearly 50!) and find myself over-thinking things to the point of distraction like you. I would revisit that. Also, are you on the pill? Someone else mentioned the pill killing her sex drive, and I suspect that may be why my sex drive was in the toilet for all my life! I should have made my husband get a vasectomy and gone off years ago LOL!

How was your family with regards to intimacy? I have trouble with intimacy, being on the receiving end of it, tend to want to squirrel my way out of it, and I'm not sure if it's the ADD or the fact that my parents weren't good models of it. We weren't a huggy-feely family at all, kept feelings tucked away, etc. I'm not sure what the answer for that is - investigating it, myself.

I'm excited for you! I do think you need to really REALLY feel strongly for a guy before you give away your virginity, and use protection, but meanwhile, nothing wrong with those heavy petting sessions IMHO!

It's funny that you detected my ADD. The concerta sucks, seriously. It does nothing for me. My DR just prescribed it to me and didn't want to prescribe any other medications because he doesn't know much about psych drugs. Getting in touch with a psychiatrist has been hell, I'm meeting with one in like 4 weeks. I just don't get why if my DR will prescribe me one ADD stimulant, he won't prescribe me another one. Whatever. I am on no ADD forums also. And I have also never taken any kind of birth control.
I should mention, my friend is prescribed adderal. I took one that friday and it was probably the most enjoyable night of the weekend. I found that I was living more externally and I wasn't in my head nearly as much as usual. I was comfortable and had fun just being with the guy I was visiting. I also found that I wasn't reasoning with myself as much and I was just thinking way less. It felt awesome. I should get on some adderal haha.
As for the intimacy thing, my family wasn't all that kissy huggy at all. There was barely any physical contact/affection shown between any of us growing up. My parents have never been very affection towards one another either. I don't even like saying "I love you" to anyone in my family. I have issues with that. Hahaha. But, for whatever reason, I crave physical touch/affection from men. I love that whole aspect of relationships and it makes me feel so happy and secure.
