Some women avoid having sex during their period. This can be for personal, religious or cultural reasons. Having sex during periods is not dangerous unless a woman carries an infection such as Hepatitis B or C, which is carried in the blood and can be more easily transmitted to her partner at this time.I have always been uneasy with this. Its such a private thing, my period, and I have never been comfurtable with my boyfriend (very close, of 3 years) seeing any blood afterwards or during. It freaks me out. Yet he on the other hand doesn't care in the least, and did it all the time with his last girlfriend. He encourages me to not worry about it and not be embarressed, which I'm not embarressed, just uneasy with it. I will let him do it in the shower where it can wash off, and OCCASIONALLY with a condom on. I want to become a little more chilled about it though, because if he really doesn't care at all, which I know he doesn't, I want to share that ease with him.
Do you all have sex while on the rag? Have any tips for me, besides just to do it?Comment

I think I am getting better with this. I really want to do it more so I become more comfurtable with it, because I want to share almost everything with my guy, its pretty serious. Just reading these posts of how others are comfurtable with it makes me more willing to be so too! I don't think its gross or anything like that, I'm a total naturalist, it's simply something I haven't done a whole lot of yet so I am a bit new to.
The problem is that right now, a new lower does of birth control I got onto is making me have an extended period. I haven't had sex with him now for 12 days or so, thats how long I've been bleeding. (I talked to a gyno and everything is normal for the kind of BC I am on) but it is quite inconvienant and I am sick of this eternal period. I am dying to have sex, and I know he is, so tonight I am just going to grab a towel and go for it!Comment

Im on a birth control that makes me have a light period, 2-4 days, and there isnt a time that we dont do it while on the rag, im very comfortable with it, he makes me feel so loved, and worries about my pleasure before his, spending an extra 1/2 hour touching me, kissing me, talking to me, which turns me on to the extreme!! After a shower, I even let him go down on me(I do have a tampon in) and after I cum, out comes the mouse
and then its smooth sailing from there!
I would think, light or heavy period, to me it's just like a natural lubrication, the first few days it doesnt hurt at all, I do find that the last day, im way more sensitave, and even if my period is gone, it will come back for a day or 2 after i;ve started taking my next pill..kinda weird, but the doc said its normal, she explained it like this, "your cervix in the last day is busy closeing up, ringing out the blood, like a wash cloth soaked in water, so when you have penetration inside of you, because your turned on, it opens up the cervix again, letting more blood out, completly natual, just more sensitave, so instead have having his penis constantly in and out all the way, my man usually just keeps the head of penis in and out, so its not knocking at my inside door lol...I find it brings us closer together, he's so obsessed with my body, blood or no blood, he always says " you can always wash it off !!"
Good luck, but like alot of people said, if your not comfortable with it, then dont do it, maying try talking about it more with your partner, getting yourself on the same level as him/her and taking it from thereComment

Oh we've talked about it plenty. He actually acts just like your description of your partner, it made me think of mine lol. As I said above, reading these comments makes me more comfurtable with it anyway. It really was simply this: I am 22 and have been with four men since the age of 16. Only one, besides the one I am with now, have I had sex with during my period. My period was always that private thing, which it is with any teenage virgin. Now I am just breaching that gap to let somebody else into a really intimate part of myself that nobody has ever gotten a full look at before. It's not that I was uncomfurtable about the idea of it, it just takes a little effort to bridge that gap. We've allready done it twice since I made this thread an everything went fine. One of those things that isn't a big deal once you finnally do it, like jumping off the high dive when your 7. lol.Comment
