I've had sex with my period, its very messy and a little embarrasing, I think I only did it because we were both so aroused.

It's not something I would indulge in on a regular basis, but if your horny and you lay something down before sex its not the end of the world.

I usually have sex while Im on my period because my sex drive at that time is through the roof! The hubs doesnt mind, infact he encourages because he knows im always more turned on at that time. We just put a towel down, for peace of mind. The shower however, while keeping a potential mess at bay, can be quite uncomfortable, slippery and akward.

I don't. Mainly because i'm too shy about my period, I just don't want him to take the condom off and it's full of blood! yuckies!! Even if I took it off in the end, I just don't like that "gushy, overly wet" feeling! I have tried it a couple times and I just don't like the feeling! The problem is that right now, a new lower does of birth control I got onto is making me have an extended period. I haven't had sex with him now for 12 days or so, thats how long I've been bleeding. (I talked to a gyno and everything is normal for the kind of BC I am on) but it is quite inconvienant and I am sick of this eternal period. I am dying to have sex, and I know he is, so tonight I am just going to grab a towel and go for it!

Are you on Ortho Tricyclen Lo? I am on that one and i have had an extended period too. I still manage to have sex because im not bleeding like a regular period (as in constantly) but its come and gone during my cycle. I was gunna go speak to my doctor next week about it, but im glad your doctor said it was normal

You guys are lucky to have men that will engage in .......that time of the month and make it feel so natural for us. We occasionally indulge. I cramp horribly and the orgasms really help with that. Sometimes we just have sex in the shower and sometimes we just throw a towel down. It all depends on what we are comfortable with at the time. I personally am not comfortable with oral sex during my period and will not let him do it. I have tried it tho so I know for a fact that its not something I can get over. Thats just me tho. I give him oral during my period as an alternative and also, depending on which day of the week, anal. Sometimes we will use toys for me and a blow job or hand job for him. However it works out. There are certain times during the week when I flow heavily and its a bit to much for either of us to take. That "squishy" overwet feeling just kinda kills the mood for me. Also, we shower before and after but sometimes the smell of blood is overwhelming for me. He doesnt mind. Its all in what your comfortable with. Couple of points. NEVER have sex (penetration) with a tampon inserted. YES, you can lose them things in there. We have women come through the office about every six months or so that this has happened to. It can cause infections and damage to the cervix.

Make sure you and your partner use the upmost care with hygene. The cervix is slightly open during menstration. The potential for infection is increased a bit. It is safe to have sex on your period, just take some precautions if possible. Condoms are great during a period.

Also, lube. Its a common thought that blood is lubricating. Not so, it actually is a bit drying and sticky. Women are more sensitive during this time and if there is just enough blood but not to much, it may be more irritating that helpful. Dont assume that just because there is more liquid there is more lube.

Because of the pill I am on, I only have my period every other month.. and the boyfriend and I definitely don't have sex during that time. It's strange that us women get so turned on during our period, but I think the idea of my period and sex is a major turn off. It's never been brought up as an option with my boyfriend and I, we just both know I'm 'broken' for a few days.

Yes, I do. I'm with you and I feel gross and don't want anyone else to see me like that. I'd prefer the shower as well. I like to do it right after the shower on a towel, then take another shower, I just feel so nasty when I'm on it. he says he doesn't care either.

Hi people. I am new to this forum and have found so much that will change my sex life.

I have neve had sex when I am on full drive period. A couple of times towards the end ya. I have bee very horny during my period but I just shut it out because I thought it was not possible and it would traumatise my hubby of 6 years. Three weeks ago it came up and he actually said it would be okay. I was totally shocked. Here I was, thinking on his behalf that he would never.
