Jed Diamond has written some books on male menopause. In one of his books he says that at mid-life a man has more estrogen in his brain (or was it "body"?) than a woman at the same age. A woman will have more testosterone in her body than a man at the same age. That's why in long marriages you see a shift and the woman wants to go! Do! Get out of the house! And the guy wants to nest and stay home.

Makes sense and it could also explain why some of us females are so charged up sexually.

One-size-fits-all doesn't work in anything, so some people will not experience this shift. I do think it applies in my case, though.

I think what you say has some creditability. The "experts" ignore the older woman. They cast us off as being of the over the hill gang yet I believe as you do, that after going through these years of life that this is the most sexually satisfiying time of life that I have ever been. The older mature woman holds a secret to her sexuality. She fears nothing. She walks knowing who she is and how to show her treasures. She knows no embarrassment. She is confident in herself and she wants more out of life than she has ever wanted before.

Typical instance of the older sexual woman being Diane Keaton....In a "mistake" less than two months ago, she said the F**k word on the show with Diane Sawyer and then there was Jane Fonda and her mistake was saying the "cu** word yesterday. Are these mistakes or are they the older woman saying hey I live. Don't forget me. How old is old, for the "older woman". I see with interest that you are really in the "zone", you acknowledge what other woman are doing, whereby most women would look at what Jane Fonda said and other's as "oh my god", she said what, where you see it how it is. In your 40's through to your 50's i think is the time that we women really see what it's all about. We have experienced much when we were young perhaps, then most of us have ended in a quick 2 minute foreplay, then just do it, as men are definately not aware i don't think of the intensity of intimacy. Old, What is Old...

I have never known such sexual heat in my life as I know now. I am bold because I love it. I talk dirty because it makes me alive.
