What do you mean by young age?

I had sex at 14 for the first time and I do think that it was kind of young. Any younger than that I don't think you even can start to understand and comprehend what consequences both good and bad come with sex.

If you are 12 and asking for us to tell you that it is okay to have sex then you are in the wrong forum. Only you can know when you are ready and you wont need the approval of a forum full of strangers. But I don't think anyone here would ever tell a 12 y/o to go out and have sex.

I just read your other post and knowing that you are 12 and haven't kissed your boyfriend, you probably shouldn't be thinking of having sex with him.

I don't think that sexual relationships should come until you can have a mature relationship and I know that I didn't practicing what I now preach (aka I was 14 the first time I had sex) but I do think it would be smart of you to be talking to your parents or a trusted adult about these things

I agree with Lexi and if you can't talk to your parents, then find an adult female who is close to you perhaps an Aunty and talk to her. I imagine if there is a Woman's Forum and you stumbled across this site from googling, then type in teenager's advice and see what comes up. I had to go back for a minute and see all the other forums here, parenting, dating, and i appreciate when i read another post you were asking even more questions.. It's not a bad thing to learn. But i think as this is a "womans" site relating to sex, it is not one that you should click on and read. Being young is great there is lots of other things to read and learn, in other areas on here that may answer questions you prefer to know. It's hard growing from a child to a teenager and all those changes. But i hope that you take Lexi's advice and don't look for it here, but with your Mum or someone that you trust. Not strangers.

Sex at twelve wouldn't be recommended, but it's not completely uncommon.

Young teens who have had sex sometimes try to pressure others their age to "do it." But these teenagers who have already had sex are often the victims of sexual abuse who are trying to make what happened to them "normal" so that they don't have to deal with it correctly. If others their age are sexually active, it's okay that it happened to them.
Don't let anybody tell you that you should be having sex. Not at 12, not at 22, not at 32. You're the only one who can decide it.
Take a trip over to the pregnancy forums. How many young ladies under 18 are wondering if they're pregnant? It's hard not to worry, even if you take precautions, if the smallest delay with your period happens. You don't want that stress.
And even though the boys seem like they've just GOT TO have sex, they will think less of you if you give it up. They'll call you a prude now, but it's got a lot to do with their feelings about having sex so early. My ex started having sex at a very early age, 12 or 13 I think, and he's pretty dysfunctional concerning it.
Lastly, you shouldn't have sex until you are absolutely sure about the person. I lost my virginity at 18, and it was still too early because I couldn't control the situation. When I told him to stop, he didn't. You have to make absolutely sure that you know the person you're with and that he will listen to you, or else it'll make for a terrible experience.
I definitely thought about sex when I was 12, but I don't think I thought about actually having it. Having sex too young has the potential to really mess with your head ... as sex at any age does.

when i was 15... a 14 year old friend of mine told me she had sex with her boyfriend and i cried so hard.. asking her WHY WHY WHY... why would you do that.. you are so young...

anyway, at your age you should not even be thinking about having sex.. focus on your youth, your education and your future.... there's plenty of time for that sex thing... dont be such in hurry to grow up...
