Very valid point(s). As every days passes we learn how much we don't know.

Well, having read some really strange opinions expressed on the subject here (I suspect by those with an axe to grind!) I would like to put in my pennyworth as a man who has experienced adult life both with and without a foreskin. I chose to be circumcised, some 23 years ago as an adult in response to my (then new) wifes strong enthusiasm for male circumcision. We had both been married before and had both had many relationships in the past and my wife has experienced cut and uncut men. he has never been able to achieve orgasm during penetrative sex with uncircumcised partners, while she readily orgasms strongly when a foreskin is absent. She puts this down to many factors, the maib ones being that the tightly stretched skin on a circumcised penis slides wetly against her clitoral and labial areas, providing the necessary stimulation, while the loose skin on an uncircumcised penis just bunches up aagainst her bits and does not move or really do anything worthwhile. She also claims to be able to feel the ridge of the head on a circumcised penis as it enters and moves within her. She also loves the appearance and odour-free cleanliness of the cut member. From the mans perspective, sex has been overwhelmngly improved since my circumcision and the sensations are more complex and much enhanced, while over-sensitivity is a thing of the past and I can last as long as my wife needs to reach her orgasm. At other times, I am more comfortable and always odour free, whereas before I was circumcised I would need to wash my penis several times a day to stay reasonably fresh. To me there is no downside to being circumcised and I would never want to have a foreskin again (ugh!) under any circumstances!Comment

opinions on a bunch of things.
The cleaning thing isn't really directed towards adults, more toward children.
I've seen my sister's 7 year old spend 20 minutes in the shower and not even get his feet clean, much less his penis.
As for the sensitivity issue, you can't really say if it's better or not... unless you start out being uncircumcised, be old enough to have sex and describe it with words other than, "it felt great", and then get a circumcision and do it all over again.
nerve endings in infants regenerate, just the same as if an infant loses a finger, often one will begin to grow in it's place.
Better for masturbation? again, unless you have done both, I can't see how you can compare the with/without.
And for the argument about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If everyone kept that ideal, we would never progress with anything. Women wouldn't have tampons, people would keep their tonsils forever, and we'd be living in darkness.
I just want to close by saying that I don't think it's right or wrong, but a preference.
Parents are allowed to make decisions for their kids... that's what they do.
I'm sure someone will come up with a rare case where some backwoods doctor killed someone by circumcising them....
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, just don't try to force it on anyone.Comment

That's what I said - I have experienced adult sex life both before and after being circumcised and I can tell you that for a man, it is FAR better to be circumcised. Similarly, before we met, my wife had experience of sexual relationships with many cut and uncut men and she overwhelminmgly prefers circumcised. I gave the deatils as to the "why and wherefore" in my earlier reply. The cleaning thing isn't really directed towards adults, more toward children.
