When I was in college I lived in a frat house and it was common for someone to be watching old VHS porn in one of the rooms. Guys would hang out and watch it, sometimes if one of the guys' girlfriends were around they'd watch too. It was no big deal. To be honest a lot of that old 70s/80s porn was really quite funny to watch, and it would be even funnier to hear the girl's perspective on it. So in essence we were inviting the female into our male bonding ritual. But it only worked because she was the guys girlfriend and that defined her place in the group.

So, it depends on the context. There is nothing "going through their minds" except maybe they want to see if you're cool with it. But unless one of those guys is already your BF it's not really appropriate and you have every right to just remove yourself from the situation.

Also, you haven't told us what type of porn. If it's that romantic "Red Shoe Diaries" type of stuff maybe they were trying to be polite and make you feel welcome. (Just kidding)

you know the same thing has happened to me a few times. I myself think some porn is just hilarious. some disgusting. why guys randomly put it on in front of women i guess means nothing even if it is for the first time. But i would deffinatly factor in the hilarious acting.
