I'm eighteen and I myself feel too young for that. Lost mine a couple of months ago to a guy whom I've been dating for over two years and am more than 99% sure that he is the "the one".. Now I understand about telling your mom.. Even at this age, my mom would totally freak out at the thought of her only daughter having sex before marriage. Now we had actually intended on waiting till marriage, but I guess the right moment came, and we don't regret it at all. Plus, like 'Cinderalla843' stated, there are many diseases and stuff out there. You said you did it just to get it done and over with? Why..? So you can go around telling everyone that you're a grown woman and have already has sex? I'm sorry.. I'm just being way too blunt.. If you can't talk to your mom [I don't see why you need to] try an aunt you trust, or a really cool teacher [they exist, believe me, I know], or perhaps just a friend's mom, or any trusted female adult. OR!! You can just come and tell us, after all WH is here to help you out. Uhm.. I'm just talking now, I'm not sure I'm helping at all.. Before I go though, I just want to wish you luck with everything and hope you and your boyfriend keep it steady. And sorry if I didn't make much sense.. I'm tired.
Much love..
ps- In the US the "legal" age is 17.Comment

If you are really scared of telling her, then why not try to talk to her and say that you have a friend who recently had sex for the first time. Feel her out and see what her opinion is. You'll likely get an idea if she is going to get really upset, or be understanding. It is a start. From there you can tell her you are thinking about it too, and want her help in getting birth control and advice (if you want help in those areas). You are too young to have to worry about STDs and getting pregnant, so please get an adult on your side to help you eliminate those potential risks. It may not be the decision she wanted you to make, but she is still going to love you no matter what. And I think that you want to talk to her about it, because if not you wouldn't have asked for help on here. I wish you all the luck.Comment
