    I was raped

After work he attacked me in the parking lot. I had to park in the back of the lot and the light is burned out there. He was waiting for me, he had a knife and held it to my throat so I just let him do it. When he finished I was crying, he said I'm sorry and ran away. Aside from the rape, he didn't hurt me. The first time I was raped, 7 years ago he beat and kicked me and almost killed me. After I regained my composer, I went back to the nursing home where I work as a nurse. I woke up the doctor on call and told him what had happened. He wanted to report it to the police but I talked him out of it. I'm not sure I will tell my husband, he is a police officer. I'm afraid he would try to catch the ripist and kill him. I had seen the repist before, he was visiting someone in the nursing home. It would be easy to identify him. I'm undecided what to do. I'll probably just keep it to myself.

I'm so sorry this happened to you chaya!

You should report it, absolutely. You should let them examine you immediately and collect evidence against him.
Get checked for sti/std. And tell your husband and girlfriend.

Chaya, I'm so sorry that this has happened to you again. An emotional hug to you.

You have to tell, no matter how hard it is. Your husband will have to be responsible for his own actions. Rapists are very unlikely to stop at just one victim if they are not caught. Please don't let others be damaged by this scum, oh this is coming out wrong. I don't want to guilt trip you. All of what kitty said is true.

I want to add Chaya this monster rapist. Really needs to be taken off the street before he hurts anymore women. But I agree with CW you are in shock right now. So please report this guy before he does this again to any other women.

I'm upset over what happened but I wouldn't call it shock. I haven't been able to face going back to work. I am having a hard time explaining to my husband why I won't have sex with him without lying to him. I told Kiyomi all about it, she knows me better than anyone and understands why I don't want to tell my husband.

I've been checked by a private doctor, given shots, pep pills and antibiotics. I won't get the full results of the tests for another week. Until then it is not safe to have sex with anyone. I know you will all think I am a bad person for not reporting this to the police. I don't expect anyone to understand why I can't do that. I also know I will live with the shame and guilt for a very long time. I felt so guilty when I ran out and didn't testify against the man who raped me the first time. I forgave the first rapist a long time ago and I forgive the one that raped me this time. I just want to hold my daughter, Kiyomi and my husband and never let go.

First, did you get a complete medical check-up for STIs and the morning after pill? I know you can't get pregnant, but why risk it.

Second, you have nothing to be ashamed of or guilty of. You did nothing wrong. Don't get this a-hole take away your power by feeling ashamed and guilty.

Third, I know everybody keeps telling you to report, but you must do what is right for you. If you choose not to report, that is your right. However, one thing really concerns me. You know what he looks like. I am guessing he knows you know. And if you don't report, what is stopping him from doing it again? He knows that you won't report it. I don't want to scare you, but this is a concern. Rape is about power and control. Knowing he can do these things and not get caught must be a huge power rush. Please consider this.

Fourth, you need to tell you husband. What if something horrible like this happened to your husband? How would you feel knowing that he kept it from you? Marriage is for better or worse (regardless of if these were your vows). You are supposed to be there for each other. By not telling him, you are hurting him as well. He will not be able to understand the sadness and trauma you are going through and may blame himself. However much you try to hide your feelings, he will sense something is wrong. He will either think you are having an affair or he did something wrong. Its not fair to put him through that. Please tell him.

Hi again Chaya, you Must report and have an OBLIGATION to report this rape just so you might prevent the idiot from attacking someone else. That someone else could be your little girl, it could be a young girl down the street and it could be someone that didn't have the presence of mind to not incite the guy any further. It takes a cool head, it takes presence of mind to not fight, kick and scream at the time.

Please report it - if not for you - then for someone else.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

Sorry I was so brief in the previous post...

Chaya, you were probably not the first person he's violated and probably won't be the last. Doesn't the nursing home keep a visitors log? You'd have had his name as well as his face.
Could've been such an easy case to solve, relatively speaking, but they needed the physical evidence.

Did you save your clothing unwashed or anything? You have the right to report, then be uninvolved in the criminal case against him, if you choose. They can go after him without you having to testify or relive it in statements for months to come.

It isn't too late. Report the crime.
I do respect your right if you choose not to, but I wouldn't want that on my conscience. It isn't healthy mentally or emotionally to be passive in this respect. You have the opportunity to possibly prevent other women from suffering such an attack.

Regardless, pls seek some counseling and perhaps a support group.

It's been reported, my husband asked Kiyomi if she knew anything about what was wrong with me. Kiyomi don't like to lie so she told him she couldn't say anything about it because she had promised not to. I over heard him start to to really pressure her and yelling at her and she was crying so I told him the whole story. He made a phone call and an hour later a lady police came and took my statement and I told her the name of the doctor and she had me sign a release.

I haven't been back to work and might never go back. It's not that I'm scared of it happening again but I just don't want to face the other nurses.

This rapist was not like the first one. That one just wanted to hurt me he punched me and kicked me and left me for dead. This one was gentle and even though he had a knife at my neck he never hurt me and I don't think he would. The way he said he was sorry for what he had done was so sincere I believed him. I'm still afraid that my husband will do something if he gets a chance, he might even kill him.
