    Is this sexual harrasment?

Most of you here are aware I have a scarf fetish and my wife has about 50 cotton type scarves (and about 20 woolen winter ones)

Anyway she wore a nice scarf (one of my favourites) to work the last Wednesday and her bosses boss (older male) commented to her that she was wearing a pretty scarf and he apparently felt / touched the scarf and said it was very nice.

Then Thursday she wore a different outfit and another scarf and her bosses boss once again commented on the scarf and said it was nice but not as pretty as the one she wore the day before.

Friday she gets to work and the first thing her bosses boss said to her was “no scarf today”?

Anyway today (monday) she wore the same scarf as last wednesday and her bosses boss apparently got all excited and said "You're wearing that scarf again" and smiled

Wife is starting to think that maybe her bosses boss has a scarf fetish too... she it not too worried about it - she just finds it interesting that someone else likes her scarves (apart from me)

would you consider this a form of sexual harrasment?

Maybe he just has a scarf obsession. Nothing sexual, but really likes scarves

that's what I was wondering... although I will admit my scarf fetish is very much sexual :-)

I would say absolutely not, he may just be trying to strike casual conversation and happened to notice that she has a lot of different scarves. Just because it's something you sexualize doesn't mean it's sexual to him. A collection of 50 scarves is pretty impressive, I bet there's some nice ones, I would probably notice too if someone came into work with fancy scarves every day

I agree Muffin your wife's boss is probably just making light conversation about her lovely scarves. He just thought they was nice and colorful is all. But it would be harrassment if he touch your wife Inappropriately while she had the scarves around her neck. But making comments no not at all.

Definitely not. We live in a scary world where people can't even pay compliment without potentially losing their career and livelihood.

Is she the type that would passively try to make you a tad bit jealous?

              Definitely not.
I did find myself on the wrong side for having made a compliment.
